I was gently led by my father down another long corridor, noticing for the first time as I walked behind him, that he had large, black wings that blended almost seamlessly into his black robe.
Just like mine.
He made a sudden turn to the right, and I veered along with him. He stopped suddenly at a large set of doors, maybe seven or eight feet high.
"This is Leon's laboratory. I will tell him you are here, and then you may go in. Afterwards... I have someone very important to reunite you with"
He finished his sentence with a smile, and then pushed open one of the large wooded doors, heading into the mysterious laboratory.
While I waited, I gazed down the current hall that I was in.
On the wall behind me, there was a tall French-style window about every three meters. The curtains were partially drawn on each one, so it filled the hall with a pale blue glow.
I was snapped out of my window assessment when I heard the doors to the laboratory swing open with a loud creak.
The room was slightly foggy, like a hookah bar.
Through the greenish fog, a tall man with golden blonde hair stepped over to greet me.
Like any Scarlet Vampire, he looks no older than his mid-twenties, but the way he spoke gave away the fact that he had probably lived for centuries.
"Ah! The Princess returns! It is so wonderful to have you back Clarissa! You have always been the joy of the palace!"
I bowed to Leon and smiled.
"It makes me happy that I have made so many other people in this place so joyful. But it saddens me that I cannot truly remember them. Can you fix me, Leon?"

"But of course! Come in Clarissa, we shall fix you up right away!"

He took my hand and led me into the laboratory.
Clearing away the fog, he gestured to a reclined, brown leather chair.
"Have a seat darling! I'll just get this ready here..."
I sat in the chair, but it was more like laying down.
Leon turned around and went to work creating a potion for me.
With out looking at me, he handed me a small shot-glass with bright orange liquid in it.
"Darling I need you to drink this before I give you the other potion. Think of it as the part one to your remembering"

I did as he said without a word.
As soon as I had downed the drink, I felt different... lighter somehow.

"So Princess, how was your trip here?"
"Oh it was fine... quite boring in fact... I woke up in the big house and then... I came here"

"Tell me darling, do you know a man by the name of Robert?"

"No, Leon. I've never met a man named Robert before."

He turned around and handed me another glass, larger than before, file with bright green liquid this time.
He smiled.

"That's good Clarissa. Don't conspire with those types... all they do is cause trouble"

As he finished his words, I drank the second potion.

Dozens of memories hit me all at once, toddler, child, teenager, first car and my sweet sixteen, my dad, even my mom... And my... Fiancé? Everything came back.
I must have been out hard at that cabin... maybe four or five days..

"Thank you so much Leon. My Father said he has someone for me to meet now... so I must be going now"
"Alright Princess. It was so wonderful to see you."
"Likewise!"
I got off the chair and left the Laboratory to see my Father.
