I rubbed my temples and decided to make up some hopefully good questions. The joker seemed pretty calm and patient, but then again I could be being fooled, as that was probably his profession. I took a few deep breaths and thought of a question.
"Why are you in Arkham today?" If I wasn't trying to be professional, I would have smirked at that question, as I'm sure that's such a typical question, that no one would think to ask it. The joker went silent, a look of concentration was clearly on his face, and after a few moment of silence he replied,
"How about you tell me why you think I'm in here."
"Nice try, but I think your the one who has to answer the question." I tried to keep my cool, but he was very intimidating, and it felt as though he could see right through me.
"Is that so? Well in that case, If your wanting to know so badly, I blew up a skyscraper, a hospital, and a couple helicopters, I terrorized thousands of people, and got this close to taking over all of Gotham." I sat there in silence for a moment, not quite expecting him to be so honest.
"I've killed...a LOT of people, and the list just keeps on going, would you like me to continue?"
"NO! Ahem, no thank you, you've told me enough." Boy had I missed a lot, thank goodness this man's behind bars. I now have all the more reason to be afraid of him.
"Anymore questions d o c t o r?" He said it in a very mocking tone, which I did my best to ignore.
"Do your friends ever call you Harley Quinn? You know like Harlequ-"
"Yeah, Harlequin, I get that a lot." I quickly cut him off. "And I don't have a lot of friends."
"It really is a funny coincidence, I wonder if your parents did that on purpose." The joker chuckled, I grew annoyed.
"I dunno, maybe. Can we not bring my personal life into this. Let's get back to topic."
"We don't really have one, how about I give you a question." The joker flashed an innocent look.
"How about not. Plus, it's probably a question that you have planned out. Now, I'm curious to know what your story is."
"My story, ey?" The joker seemed amused by this question.
"Yes, everyone has a story. What's yours?"
"Alright, my story... When I was a young boy my father took me to the circus because I was feeling a little down, I loved the circus, but my father was never one to laugh so one night I went on a killing spree and killed all of the people that were making him sad in hopes to make him smile, but instead he became horrified at what I had and you know what he does next? He casts me into the street and leaves me to starve." The joker began to scare me as his tone became angrier and angrier with every word, but he then turned his head to face me and smiled.
"Funny right? Now that what's your story?"
"My story? This interview isn't about me." I really didn't want to explain my life to him right then.
"But I want to know what doctors lives are like." The joker almost whined, almost.
"Fine, but it's not like it's going to be interesting." I gave a sigh of defeat. The joker settled into his 'bed' that his hands and feet were tied to.
"I am not originally from Gotham, I came here for college, mainly because my parents hated it. I'm getting low grades in a few classes so I decided to become an intern here to bump up my grades...the end." I had the worst story ever, but I didn't really care.
"Anything else?" The joker raised an eyebrow.
"And I like the color purple, happy?" I glanced at the clock. "I think our session is up." I quickly gathered my things and got up, making my way towards the door.
"Same time next week?" I heard him ask. I let a small smile escape my lips as I left his room.
