Joker's POV:
I ascended the stairs alone, I don't want anyone getting in my way during the meeting. This is the last time I will ever agree to come here on such short notice. I'm not one to gamble, but when I do it's not pretty or well thought out. This meeting could turn south at any moment and its all up to whether he 'cooperates'. I knocked on a wooden door leading into an office.
"Knock, knock." I said this in a sing song tone. A large man wearing an eyepatch opened the door.
"Your late." He growled down at me, I leaned against the doorframe and smirked.
"Fashionably late."
"Whatever you are, the boss won't be too pleased with you. He's not a very patient man."
"He'll have to be." I muttered. The man led me to another door with glass panels. He knocked on it and seemed anxious. I turned around to look at my surroundings and noticed that two other men who were twice as big as the first had joined us. I laughed in amusement.
"The odds aren't very fair. Three to one?"
"Hey, I don't make the rules but we all know about you, joker. Your not someone who can be left alone with the boss and not be a threat to everyone in this casino." One of the bodyguards said. The door then opened and we were all let in.
"Welcome Mr..." A short man sitting in a leather chair behind a desk greeted me with open arms.
"He calls himself the joker." One of the men said.
"He can speak for 'imself, we made an appointment after all."
He was smoking a cigarette and spoke with a thick British accent. I was relatively new to the other villains in Gotham as I had only encountered them so many times, but his face was relatively familiar. I'm sure I've hired him for something before, but it would take me a minute to remember.
"I remember you. You hired me to kill the batman for you last year. Where have you been? You look good despite what Arkham has probably done to you." The man leaned back in his chair and grinned.
"As much as I love reunions, catching up, and all of that, we really need to sort out the deal."
"You probably don't remember me, do ya?" The man seemed to ignore my request.
"I don't."
"Name's penguin, and this isn't the only location you'll see me runnin. I'm quite powerful in the criminal business if ya haven't noticed."
"That's wonderful, really makes my day to hear but we need to...talk about who gets what 'party' to crash."
"I like you joker, you've got a pre'y generous mind, one thing I wish I had. Which is why we're not going to be splitting up who gets what with the 'parties'. I think I've got enough power and men that I could do 'em all myself."
"Hehe, I figured you would." I then pulled a shotgun from within my coat and pointed it at his head. Penguin's men pointed theirs at me. I chuckled, "You know, this could've gone SO well. I'd hate to see it end on such a sour note, maybe we can start over with you having me take over for you. I mean come on! You have so much work to do all the time-"
"Shut it clown! Your outnumbered. Drop your gun before we pump your guts full of lead." I turned my head to look at his men and smiled, this was very amusing.
"You all think I'm so crazy that I would shoot the Penguin? No. That would be rude, but I will do this." I then shot my gun at the window behind the Penguin and the glass shattered open. Behind it I could see a very shocked Harley Quinn who missed the bullet by a centimeter. That was the cue for my men to come up and help. Penguin's men fired at me but by the time they did Harley was already on top of them doing some of the best fighting I had ever seen! Boy was she full of surprises.
