"Mehek!"

She jerked hearing his sudden yell.
Shaurya stood immediately, "How dare you?" He was extremely upset.

"How dare you talk to him that way?" Her mouth hung open in surprise, she least expected him to yell at her.

He too didn't wish to yell but a word against his dad was not something he could stand. He loved his dad to that extent.

"How dare you?" He repeated in disbelief and walked closer till he was right in front of her.

"Isn't he a mere mortal like me?" She replied once she recovered from the shock of his sudden action.

"It's not always about you! No action can amount to such disrespect, Mehek." He deadpanned but she didn't waver.

"I didn't say wrong. Any man who can raise his hand against a woman is an animal and doesn't deserve respect." She annoyed him further.

Everyone just watched them, without interruption.

"Repeat that and you'll count me one of them right now." He threatened as he looked her directly in the eye.

She was least bothered by his anger. But disappointed that he chose to take his dad's side.

"Your father is an animal." She gasped at the sudden force with which he grabbed her upper arm, letting his fingers dig into her skin. She hissed in pain at his strong grip.
"Don't provoke me."

"Let go off me!" She forcefully freed her hand from his grip and rubbed the spot lightly. She couldn't believe he just did that. She thought better of him.

"You both are exactly the same. Fucking animals." She spat at him and instantly walked out, slamming the door behind her.

*********

She walked out of her final class. Finally she was gonna rest. Earlier eventy may have blown off but not her anger. She thought he was different but she was dead wrong.

He was exactly the same. They were all the same, none were different.

Yuvraj, Shaurya, her dad, they were all the same. She just wanted to forget all about the whole thing and get some rest.

She still strode slowly when suddenly she felt an arm around her waist from behind and another over her mouth, not giving her a chance to yell. Mystery person turned her around in his grip.

"I've been looking everywhere for you. I need to talk to you."

She pushed him harshly and forcefully freed herself from his grip.

"Fuck off!" She turned to leave but he pulled her back, "I'm sorry."

"Let go off me!" She freed her wrist from his hold. "Drive to hell with your apology." She resisted the urge to yell, not wanting to attract unnecessary attention. His presence annoyed her. Making her recall his earlier actions, rekindling her fire.

"C'mon Mehek, you don't expect me to speak against my dad?" She turned to him and nodded in negation,

"No, but I expected much better." She turned to walk away again. "Don't walk out of me."

She ignored his statement and continued walking away, "I mean it!"

It was an order and she was most definitely not going to take it but her body told different. She stopped walking.

"Turn around." His tone was calm yet firm and demanding. "Stop ordering me!" She turned to him.

"Thank you." He replied making her realize that as she meant to yell at him, she has done exactly as he had asked, "Now listen to me."
