He actually did leave.

She watched till she could no longer see yhe headlights or hear the sound of engine.
Only the sounds of the winds were audible. They were already do strong and the rain was on getting worse.

It was so clear tat she could no longer stay but it was only worse thinking about how sick she was gonna get if she got into the rain.

Not just that, dinner would be entirely ruined, and so would he clothes.

But her feet were starting to ache and she was already cold. Standing there wasn't gonna help she had no choice.

She instantly regretted her decision. In mere seconds, she was already soaked. Her clothes clung to her body and were already beginning to irritate her. She hugged herself tightly. It was already getting difficult to see clearly, maybe she should have stayed there.

She cursed her ill luck when she missed her step and tripped. She closed her eyes, anticipating her fall but opened them when she was held back.

The arm around her waist pulled her up till she was backed up against him. The sudden move didn't let her think, instead she tried to catch her breath and rested in the warmth behind her.

She understood that someone saved her from falling on her face literally but what she wondered was who would be out in the rain.

But before she could turn to her mystery person, she felt warmth on her ear that tickled her, an extreme deep contrast to the cold.

"Won't you at least now admit I'm your Superman, my damsel in distress?" He spoke into her ear.

She instantly knew who it was and turned in his hold. Definitely, it was Shaurya but before she could react and argue, he placed his finger on her lips.

"Say thank you. Don't argue." He spoke softly.

That was when she registered their position. His hand was firmly on her waist while his other pressed her lips closed. His hands were warm against her body despite the fact that they were practically under the rain.

"Just say thank you." He spoke even softer as she removed his finger from her lips, not once breaking eye contact with her.

"Thank you." Her subconscious obliged to obey without any word of complaint.

"Good girl, aren't you?" His finger moved up to her hair. She flinched softly as his fingers get grazed her skin.

Her wet stray hair's clung to her face, he arranged them all and tucked them behind her ear. Her hand followed the every movement of his hand. It felt warm yet she still felt goosebumps everywhere.

"Good girl." He repeated, "Now let's get you home." He finally let go off her.

Losing the warmth was like having a bucket of ice tipped over her head, that sure pulled her back to her normal senses. She decided to ignore whatever it was that just happened, and remembered that she was actually meant to be angry at him for driving away.

"You're an idiot!"

He placed his hand on his chest faking hurt, "Oh, you wound me, baby."

"Call me baby one more time and I'll do your dentist a favour and take out your teeth, got it?" She warned but he only laughed softly and pushed her finger that was pointed at him.

She frowned, "What's so funny? And I can't believe you drove away and came back without the car, like seriously?"

"Oh that!" He crouched down to pick up something then stood back up. He opened the umbrella over them.
