His eyes were glued to the screen as he concentrated on what he was typing in his laptop.
He then felt her hands on his shoulders. Her fingers soothingly massaged his aching shoulders. He relaxed at her touch and rested in his desk chair.
"How does that feel?" He felt her breath on his ear.
"Amazing." He didn't realize how tired he was and it felt good to relax. She pecked him, "Take a break, baby."
Before he could contest, she moved to his front and sat on his laps, both her legs at each side of him.
"Shruti, I need to finish this.." she interrupted him as she placed her finger on his lips and traced them back and forth, "A time back, you simply couldn't put anything before me."
She trailed her finger from his chin to his neck, "I'm busy, Shruti."
"For me." She moved his hands to undo the ropes of her bathrobe. She undid it herself when he resisted.
"C'mon, Shaurya, you can't be serious." She trailed her finger on the exposed part of his chest but he held her wrist to stop her from moving further.
"You know I hate that."
"Why don't you let me touch you?" She got worried. He had always made his limits clear. But he never gave a reason why.
"I told you not to ask me that."His phone ringing momentarily interrupted the conversation. He reached out to the table to get it.
"Hey, dad." He put the phone on speaker so she could hear as well.
"So...tell me." Yuvraj was uninterested in greeting and went straight to the point. "Have you?"
"Yes." Shaurya replied.
"And what did she say?"
"She didn't really give an answer. It's a probability." Shruti frowned hearing his response but he only ignored her questioning look.
She was never comfortable with him talking about anyone else. She knew she was possessive, but it wasn't her fault as many sulked for the attention of her boyfriend.
"Hmmm...it's okay. Don't pressure her, if she doesn't, let me know. And if she does, don't make it obvious."
"I know, bye dad!" He hung up abruptly and put the phone down.
"And who exactly is this she?" He expected the question so he wasn't surprised. He knew how insecure she could get. Same reason he put the phone on speaker.
"Nothing important."
"She sounded important." Shruti pressed on but it only annoyed him, "Not to me." She hated the way he was ignoring her and giving her curt replies. "At tell me who is, I just need to be sur.."
"You know I hate this, Shruti, so drop it!" She was shocked by his sudden change of attitude.
"If your dad upset you, you don't have to take it out on me. You know sometimes, you can be really annoying." She got off his laps and walked out of the room.
He sighed harshly and rested his head on the table. A million thoughts ran through his head.
He was confused.

"If you want to go, just say, don't break the laptop." Swati mocked but Mehek ignored her.
