Her mouth hung open as they walked in. The interior was flawless and perfect.
She trailed slowly behind him as her eyes admired the place.
"Hey Shaurya!" She looked over to see a petite waitress in front of them.
"I'll escort you to your table." She gestured them to follow her.
Soon, they were seated in a private corner with less people.
It was serene and the light shining through the lintels drove the interior decor to perfection. He notic cleared his throat, getting her attention back.
"You're here with me. I'd prefer you only stare at me. I'm getting jealous."
"Sorry, it's just really..."
"Beautiful, I know." He interrupted.
"When you said lunch, I didn't expect a reservation." She was truly surprised at his choice of place. A part of her just wanted to feel special.
"It's not a reservation per say, more like, private table. People can be quite intrusive." He explained but it irritated her seeing as it wasn't as she thought.
"You're just a showoff." He smiled at her frown but was interrupted before he could make a reply.
"Shaurya." He turned to the voice that called out to him. Mehek turned as well but was even more irritated at the sight of her. She was in a short gown and her whole visage screamed harlotry.
"Oh, Diya. When did you get back?"
Diya smiled and crouched down to be at same level of sight with him. "Few days ago. I missed you." She tapped his nose lightly and traced her fingers along his chin.
Mehek turned away instantly at the sight and shut her eyes to block out their voices.
"I missed you too. And by the way, you look amazing."
His simple compliment made her blush but on the other hand, upset Mehek. She couldn't put a finger on it but the whole scenery pissed her off.
"Oh, stop it, Shaurya." The flirting hint was quite obvious in her tone.
"Are you both done?" She snapped, surprising them and herself as well. She didn't imagine herself having that kind of out burst as well but her subconscious took the lead. She quickly composed herself but kept her gaze away.
"Sorry." Diya straightened up immediately, "I didn't mean to upset you, Shaurya is just a friend, nothing more." She defended having misread Mehek's anger as jealousy.
"Don't worry, Diya, it's just my baby here gets over possessive sometimes. I'll pacify her."
He smirked seeing her surprised look, while Diya laughed, "Okay, you guys enjoy your date, I'll see you later, Shaurya, bye!" She threw a flying kiss at him and hurried off.
"I told you, I'm not your girlfriend." She sneered at him. She knew she was angry for absolutely no reason in particular but she couldn't help it.
"Relax, babydoll. I know how hard it is for you to see me with someone else so I'll only flirt with you henceforth, okay?" He upset her even more but he only laughed.
"If it takes upsetting you each time to see your cute frown, sign me up." He laughed more making her turn away.
"I really really hate you." She was finding it extremely difficult to stay angry at him with him laughing non-stop. But still tried to remain put.
"Oh look, here's our desert." The waitress from earlier approaches them and placed two cups of ice cream at each part of the table.
"Thanks, sweetheart." He winked at her as she walked away.
