Aveliene's pov:

My mind has become a mess now. Vaughn's words are still ringing in my head and I am unable to get them out of my mind although only three days have passed since the dinner.
But my mind is constantly reminding me of him and his warning.

Just thinking about how he said those words in my ear made me feel chills pass down my spine.

Right now, I am lying on my bed, it's six in the evening.

Instantly my phone rings. I looked at the caller ID. It's Cassie.
I wonder why is she calling we talked last night only.

I swiped and answered the call. And immediately Cassie spoke in her cheering voice, I don't know how she could be so excited all the time.

"Hey Ave!! Do you know what is today?" Cassie said or more correctly yell in excitement.

"Calm down Cassie, what happened? Last time I remember it is not your birthday nor is mine. So what is today?" I asked with confusion.

"I know its not our birthday but its Ashton's birthday and he is throwing a birthday bash, girl I am so excited". She said.

"Ashton, he was one of the most popular guy in our high school, right?" I said while remembering.

"Yeah, I could still remember how every girl tried to get his attention." She said and I know she is dreaming of him right now. Cassie and her fascination with boys.

"I still remember he asked me to be his girlfriend when we both were in the same physics class." I said while remembering.

"But you said that you don't want to be in a relationship at that time due to the strictness of your father. Then you both become just friends. " Cassie said while I still can't forget how bad I felt in declining his proposal. I really want to say yes to him at that time.

"Hmm, I felt bad in declining his proposal. And then he started dating Veronica which made me feel worst." I still can't forget how Veronica tried to make me jealous while hanging around with Ashton as she she knew I liked him.

"But he left her, when he found her cheating on him with his friend." Cassie said breaking me out of my trance.

"She really don't cares about others feeling. Anyways who all are going?" I asked while changing the subject as it was making my mood sad.

"He has invited everyone like a reunion. And Emma, Liam, Me, Aaron,Stacey and you. We all are going." She chirped.

"Cassie, I can't come" I said in a low voice.

" Ave you are coming with us, and I am not taking a No." She said in a stern voice.

"But you know I still feel bad after declining his offer. I don't know what he feels of me now. I can't face him. So no I am not coming ,you guys go". I said while trying to made her understand.

"Ave come on, I don't think he will hate you for that. And every one is going and if you will not go then we'll also not go." She said while trying to reason.

I thought for a moment maybe she is right. And I am overthinking. And by the way Ashton is a smart guy he will understand.

"Okay, I am coming" , I replied.

"Yayy, That's like my bestie, Emma, Liam and Stacey will come together while me and Aaron will come together. The party will start at sharp eight. Its at Ashton's house. If you want you can join us". She chirped.

"No, I will meet you all directly at the party" I said as I don't want to be a third Wheel between her and Aaron.

I ended the call and went inside to take a bath.

After taking a long relaxing shower I went inside my closet to find a dress.

All the dresses were designer and expansive. Most of them were my mom's choice.

I searched for a dress and my eyes stopped on a red colored dress with neckline and off shoulder one. I bought this when I was on a trip of Paris. I still remember, I was walking down the streets when this dress caught my attention. And immediately I went to purchase it.

It is like a souviner to me.

After wearing the dress, I put on a light mascara and my favorite Hermes perfume.
I left my hairs in a wavy hairstyle and then grab my black clutch. I took a final look in the mirror and then went downstairs.

It was now eight past ten. I went to the garage and sat inside my ,BMW Z4.
It was gifted by my dad to me when I turned eighteen and got my driving license.

I then speed off to Ashton's house. I hope everything goes good tonight.
