Chapter 46

Aveliene's pov:

I still can't believe that finally Vaughn has confessed his feelings for me. Those three magical words keeps ringing in my mind. Everytime I remember the romantic last night, a smile always touches my lips. Call me a hopeless romantic girl but I can't help it because finally my fantasy has become true.

I am currently watching a movie although my mind keeps reminiscing about the events of last night. That meteor shower was not that surprising as compared to Vaughn confessing his feeling.

I came out of my thoughts by hearing my phone rings. I check the caller ID , and a smile touches my lips. I answered it and put it near my ear.

"Hello Vaughn", I said trying to sound calm as since last night I felt myself alot more attracted to him.

"Hey love, you sound happy, thinking about me ,huh?", he said in a playful tone. And I can't fight a blush that crept on my face.

I don't know how he knows me so well.

"No", I said in teasing tone.

"Really, I felt hurt", he said in a dramatic tone and I rolled my eyes although he can't see it.

"By the way, I called you to inform that, there is a business party tonight and you have to accompany me. ", he said.

"Can't we skip it", I asked as I wasn't a fan of parties. Although Cassie always drags me to them.

"I wish we could but its an important one, love", he said and sighed.

"I can understand, dad also attends these kinds of parties", I replied while remembering.

"So I will be back soon, bye love", he said.

"Bye", I replied and ended the call.

I stood up, it was already late evening so I went towards my closet to find a suitable fancy dress. I am happy that I kept some while packing.
I searched and my gaze stopped at a short bodycon sequined ombre dress. It has thin straps with a v-neckline at front.

I heard some footsteps so I went outside and saw Vaughn in the room. His suit jacket was hanging loosely on his shoulder. He gave me a smile which I gladly replied.

"You can get ready here and I will change in another room." He said and gave me a quick peck on the lips and left.

I then took my dress and changed into it. It reached till my thigh. I then tried to get to the zipper at the back but my hand wasn't reaching.

Damn zipper.

I tried again but it wasn't working.
I heard a knock at the door.

"One minute", I replied and tried to do it again but still it wasn't working.

I sighed and opened the door.
Vaughn came in his eyes stopped at me for a moment.

"Sorry to disturb, I actually came to take my clothes", he said and quickly went inside the closet while I again tried to zip up my dress but it still not working. Suddenly I felt someone's fingers on the zipper. I looked up and saw Vaughn through the mirror.
I met his oceanic orbs as he gently yet slowly zipped up my dress. He was so close to me. I stopped a gasp from leaving my mouth as his elegant fingers touched my smooth bare back.

When he zipped it. I slowly turned and was now face to face with him. Our lips were inches apart. I felt his warm breath and my heart beat risen. He slowly leans forward while I did the same. Our lips barely touched when his phone rang. Instantly I looked away and felt Vaughn cursing under his breath as he picked up his phone and left the room. A smile touches my lips at his annoyed face.

I then sat infront of the vanity and put on some light foundation, and eyeliner. I also put on a matching lipstick. I then styled my hairs in loose curls. I wore my diamond earrings and sprayed my favorite lavender perfume.

I wore my black plums and grabbed my black clutch and left the room. I slowly went downstairs and saw Vaughn already standing there he was wearing a black suit and vest with white shirt, looking as dangerously handsome. He looked up and his eyes check me up from toe to top. Finally meeting my eyes as I blushed under his gaze.

He slowly came near me and hold me by my waist. A smile touches his lips as I looked up at him.

"You are looking so tempting tonight" He whispered while I muttered a thanks shyly as my cheeks heat up.

His smooth fingers touched my face as he gently put some tendrils behind my ear. I felt my heartbeat increased.

"Although as much as I want to take you in the bedroom and let all my desires took over me-" He said and I blushed hard."-But this party is really important", he paused and cupped my cheeks."But we can wait till coming back" he said and winked while I felt my cheeks getting red as a tomato.

We then went towards the car and sat inside. During the whole ride Vaughn didn't left my hand. Not that I am complaining.

We reached the venue as Vaughn stopped the car. He then turned towards me and spoke-"There are many high profile people, even from mafia so I want you to stay by my side during the whole time, I can't let some other men, talking or even seeing you with bad intentions." He said in a serious tone. To which I nodded. He then opened the dashboard and my eyes widen at seeing a gun in it. Vaughn noticed my panicked state and spoke-" Don't worry its just for security as being a powerful mafia leader, and there are many dangerous people in, but as long you are by my side nothing can harm you", he said in a soft tone and kissed my knuckles and I forced a smile. Even though I still was not fully concerned.

He then kept the gun in the holster around his waist, hidden under his vest.

He then stepped outside and opened my car door and extended his hand for me to hold which I did. Vaughn slid his arm around me in a protective manner. There were parapazzi too near the entrance but we ignored them and went inside the hotel while plastering a fake smile.

I wish this night ends soon.
