Chapter 31

Aveliene's pov:

Right now, I am sitting in my room with my mom. Dad has already left for office. But he said he will come before I leave.

"How's everything honey?", my mom asked with a warm smile.

I know where this talk is going.
"Everything is fine mom", I said while giving a forced a smile although I really wanted to tell her about the suffering and torture I am going through. And the most important thing I wanted to ask is about the past, that Vaughn was talking about. But seeing her happy I refrained myself.

She saw my sad expression and spoke," If there is anything bothering you then tell me honey, you know I can't see you sad." She said with concern.

"No mom, Everything is fine, I am just feeling a little tired." It was half truth as I hardly slept last night.

"You know I am glad that you accepted this marriage honey", she said and smiled.

We chatted a little, or I say a lot.

Didn't realize it was already six. My mom went to prepare the dinner. I helped her then suddenly the door bell rang.
I went outside to see noneother then my best friend, Cassie.

She immediately took me in a hug.
"I missed you Ave," She said while pouting.

"We have talked just two- three days ago", I said in duh tone.

"But I haven't seen you since the wedding ", she said in a dramatic way. I just rolled my eyes.

We then went to my room as Cassie spoke-
"So now spill everything, I have been waiting to ask you this face to face." She said while wriggling her eyebrows.

"What are you talking about?", I said while trying to sound confused.

"Oh come on, you know what I am talking about. It's your wedding life.", she said excitedly.

"What about it?" I spoke without showing any excitement.

"Tell me how is Vaughn treating you? how much he loves you? how was your wedding night ?",she asked in single breath with mischief. Then I realized her last sentence and blushed.

"Gosh Cassie, you are too much?", I said while turning my face so that she can't see me blushing but it was already late.

"Oh come on,tell me. How did you seduce him?" She said while wriggling her eyebrows.

"Gross!", I said while face palming. I know my face will be red like a tomato. Although we did not do something like that but still its, eww.

Cassie started laughing.

"Okay fine but tell me how is everything going on?" She said while holding back her laughter.

"Everything is fine", I said, even though I can't trust my own words.

"I am happy for you Ave. And remember if he upsets you then tell me. I will show him my worst side." She said. Eventhough she was not as much intimidating as Vaughn.

"How is Aaron by the way?", I asked while changing the topic. Cause I don't want to spill anything about my torturous wedding life.

"He is fine. We also spend a lot of time together. I also met his parents. I am glad he is serious about me."She said with a smile.

"So when is the wedding and also I will be your bridesmaid", I said teasingly.

"Gosh Ave! you are such a tease." She said while playfully hitting my arm. While I just laugh.

We chatted for sometime then she left. I was glad to spend time with my bestie. I then went towards the dinning room.

Mom was setting up the dinner. As I helped her. Then my dad came.

"He is here.", my dad said and left.

Immediately I froze. I know this time was going to come. I looked at the clock it was already eight. Then I check my phone there were three missed calls from him. Oh no.
I didn't realize when my phone rang and also how time passed so fast. I was happy to spend my time with my friends and family who cares for me. I wished I could stay a longer here. I don't want to go back to him. I don't want to go back to that beautiful but hell like mansion which was my new home now. Specially I don't want to go back to him. For the world he may be a handsome successful billionaire and every girl's dream but for me he is a nightmare, a ' Devil in Disguise.'

Just thinking about him cause chills pass down my spine.

My mom and I went towards the living room. And there he was in his all glory talking with my father. His eyes fell on me and I quickly looked down. I don't know how he makes me feel so intimidate. As if I was a free bird when I am away from him but when I am near him it feels like I have lost my liberty.
He came towards me and whispered yell in my ear-" Why you did not pick up phone?", his voice calm yet angry. I did not reply back as I just want to stay away from him. I don't like the fact that he is so intimidating. And I think my silence angered him more. But he faked a smile.

My mom and dad looks really happy. They really likes him alot. I felt slight jealous why such a handsome and perfect person has a devilish personality.

We went to have the dinner. This time I quickly took a seat beside my mom while Vaughn sat beside my dad. I just want to be away from him as much as I can. And I think he noticed it as he looked at me with his intense gaze. I gulped and looked down.

The dinner went on with my mom and dad talking with Vaughn. They were clearly very happy to have him as their son- in -law, Well he was good to everyone except........me. I just eat my food in silence. Not interested in their talks. I could feel his gaze on me. But I didn't looked up and continued with my food.

After the dinner we went outside where his car was parked. Mom and Dad escorted us.

I hugged my mom who smiled at me.
"I am happy for you honey. I know he is taking good care of you. " Only if she knows.
Vaughn shook hands with my dad.
Although I didn't want to leave them but reluctantly I moved and sat inside the car. Vaughn took the passenger seat. I looked through the window as my parents waved at me with smiles.

I stopped my tears from falling. As we passed through the gates and went on our way back to the hell.
