Oh wow! I didn't expect to get so many reads, I'm sorry I've been so inactive, I've had alot going on. But this might be another long post, and like I said from the last post this helps, as I've missed my childhood. Well, Name and I were still hanging out, and she never really told me much about herself, we always hung out in the rain, and I began to love rainy days. Well, we hung out for three years and we hung out all the time, I even got her to come to my house which she never wanted to come in, Mrs. always complained that I would bring mud in the house and whenever I told her about Name she must have thought she was an imaginary friend because she never believed me. One night when it was raining she looked at me and wanted me to be friends with her forever and ever "I would love to be, Name!" I exclaimed. I was so happy to have met her, honestly she made me so happy I forgot about every bad thing in my life. Until December of 1997, it began to snow and started to freeze up. I came outside to my back yard to expect to find Name "Name! Name! Come on, let's play!" I exclaimed...she wasn't here. I stepped out into the snow with the wind blowing. "Name, where are you?!" I shouted "Get back inside you idiot, before ya get a cold!" Mr. scolded at me, I was so disappointed, we never really dealt with snow before together until that year, where was she? Did her parents not let her come around? I didn't see her from December to January, every night and morning I began to look outside to see her face but then find nothing, I was so distraught I couldn't find her. We always spent Christmas week together too, because my parents would leave the house to celebrate with their "real family". I looked for her every day and could not find her. Then, on New Years Eve it had hit me "Does she have to have water?" I remember asking myself as I pour water outside to no avail of finding Name outside, I was just a child then with an overactive imagination. Well, while she had disappeared I began to read more on Alaska, and how the weather worked there, I began to think about how much I really missed it there. I wished I could take Name there...February came and the snow had not left, all I had done was stay inside and never left the house. One day I looked outside to see black hair, I was so overjoyed I ran outside. "Name! Where have you been?!" I shouted as it turned around and I could see that it was a girl with green eyes and fair skin "Hi, I'm Suzanne! I'm new here from Memphis!" She greeted as my eyes widen from shock "D'ah...Tommy, I'm sorry, I thought you were someone else." I apologized as she smacked my shoulder playfully "Don't be! C'mon, you wanna play snowball?" She asked as I nodded and grinned "Uh, sure. Sounds fun." I said as we walked together, we went to the park together and threw snowballs "So Tommy, who did you think I was?" Suzanne asked as I chuckled "Ah, just an old friend. So what brought you to Gatlinburg?" I asked as I didn't want to talk about Name. Suzanne smiled "Oh, my dad switched companies, he works as an engineer so he decided to come here and help make the place more attractive to tourists." She explained "Wow, your dad sounds awesome. I wish my dad would have been cool." I said as she grinned "I'm sure your dad does cool stuff. Say, you wanna make some snow art?" She asked as I cocked my head to the left "Snow wha?" I asked "Come here, I'll show ya!" She chirped excitedly as she stuck a stick into the snow and started drawing with her right hand. "It's basically where you draw. And if you wanna color it you use chalk to fill it in. You wanna try?" She asked me as I nodded and smiled "Of course, what did you draw?" I asked "Ah, just little doodles." She said as I nodded. We drew drawings everywhere along the playground, I drew water droplets everywhere I went and didn't even realize it...I didn't realize it, it was as if my mind was telling me something. While Suzanne was far from earshot I looked around my surroundings "Name...I don't know if you can hear me or not, but whatever I did I'm really sorry..." I trailed off as I looked back to see Suzanne talking to Darren, Darren, my childhood bully. I crossed my arms and felt dread hit the pit of my stomach "Of course he had to be here." I thought "Hey...hey..." I hear a whisper, I walk to the woods "Hello...hey..." It continued to whisper, I looked up at the trees to see nothing, and at that point I thought it was just my mind playing tricks with me to distract me from talking to Suzanne. "Tommy." That voice...I turned around and there she stood. Her skin had gotten a little more pale, her black hair lightening a little, her eyes bold and bright as they were from when we met, her freckles were a little more prominent, and her skin seemed to glisten almost. "Name!" I exclaimed as I ran to her, Name ran to me with the same excitement and we embraced; I held her tightly in my arms as she held me "Where have you been?" I asked her as she pulled away slightly "I'm so sorry, Tommy." She said as I held her close "Please don't leave me like that, Name. I thought I'd never get to see you again." I said sadly "Tommy, no, I don't ever wanna leave you. It's just...I did a lot of thinking." She said as I looked down at her "What is it?" "Tommy...sometimes I'm worried I'm not good for you. If that makes sense. I don't know, you have other friends. And here's me." She said "Now, Name, you are my bestest friend in the whole wide world. You are very good for me, honestly, you're the best thing that's ever come into my life." I said, Name blushed as I smiled "There's that smile, do you want to hang out tonight?" I asked as she nodded and smiled "You're a really good person, Tommy." She said and with that, she suddenly place her oddly frozen lips to my left cheek. Even though the kiss was cold to the touch, my blush warmed it up and I began to look at her a little differently, I wasn't really attracted to girls yet, but my 8 year old heart knew she was pretty. Name and I walked down to the park "See you tomorrow?" I asked as she nodded and smiled "Yes, Tommy, I promise." She said cheerfully as I smiled warmly at her and walked back down the hill to see Suzanne gone as well as Darren "Thank God." I thought "There you are!" Suzanne exclaimed as I turned around and chuckled "Yeah, where's-" "Oh, he left. He had to go home, c'mon let's finish some snow art!" She said excitedly as I nodded and grabbed a stick with my left hand and looked back. Name stood there looking sad as she watched me, I looked sympathetically at her. "Tommy, c'mon!" Suzanne said as I sighed and continued to draw with her. We drew around until 6 and Suzanne started to head home, I just stood there and watched her leave and tried to find Name but she was gone. The next day, Name and I did hang out, we played in the snow. What I noticed was I was wearing snowgear; like a puffy coat and snow pants with snow shoes, and she just wore that same dress. I remember one day before the snow melted I got up to her "Name, aren't you cold?" I asked as she shook her head "No, I'm fine. Thank you though." She said as I gave her an odd look, she was very different from anyone I had ever met. And I liked her that way, but I wanted to know more about her, I just didn't know how...
