"Good evening, Mr Prime Minister..." John spoke shaking the hand of the man as he entered the room.

"Please, do call me Andy, your highness." The older Alpha spoke.

"Well then, please do take a seat, Andy." John smiled, and the Alpha did so. The Prince sat on the sofa opposite him, giving him a smile.

"Goodness, I remember the last time we met in this room... Unfortunately, it was your father's funeral..." The man spoke, looking around. After a few short seconds, he pointed to the corner of the main drawing room. "That is where you stood, your highness. Right in that corner with your sister and a little cat. You were eating bananas, and feeding it little chunks."

John turned to look at the corner of the room, his eyes studying it. He could briefly remember the man's funeral... It was a long time ago, that was for sure. John didn't remember much of his old man, only that he was a bastard to his mother. Julia and Alfred were once in the newspapers constantly over scandal, but the real world barely knew the truth. They didn't know what the real reason behind Julia being sent away was...

Julia lived a quiet life now, in a little castle on the outskirts of the kingdom. Mimi deemed her an unfit mother, and as the Queen, she could demand Julia's children if she wanted to. Of course, that is what she did. Victoria, John, Julia and John remained in Mimi's custody. That was indeed all because John's father had died. Julia had never faught back.

Nobody knew the true reason behind Alfred's death... All John knew was that he drank, and in the end he had just drank too much. His liver failed, and one day he just did not wake up in the morning. That was the day John and his sisters permanently moved into Mimi's custody.

"Your highness?" The Prime Minister, Andrew Ferris, had asked.

"Y-Yes." The Prince snapped out of his trance, whipping his head back around to face the other Alpha.

"Why ever did you wish to see me, sir?" His voice was light, rather cautious. "You would not ask me here without a serious reason, would you not."

"No... No, you are indeed correct." John spoke, clearing his throat. He decided to jump straight to the point, clearing his mind of all stray thoughts as best as he could. "Mr Prime Minister?"

"Yes, your highness?"

"May I ask about your Omega?"

"W-Well yes..." He nodded, rather bewildered. "What is it you wish to know?"

"Do you treat her well?" John asked, trying not to sound too condescending.

"E-Excuse me?" The man asked, slightly furrowing his brows in confusion. He was not angry.

"Do you make her kneel before you? Or kneel before any of your staff, Mr Prime Minister?"

"No of course not!" He defended his honour, though he still did not seem angry, just a little concerned as to why John had asked such a question.

"Do members of cabinet make her kneel?"

"No. I would not allow it."

"Exactly." John nodded along. "Now, imagine if cabinet made the final decision, and every time a member of cabinet walked into the same room as your wife, she was forced to kneel. And there was nothing you could do about the situation..."

"I..." The Prime Minister began, before cutting himself off. He seemed to be overthrown with thoughts all of a sudden, staring at nothing in particular. And then he looked back up to John, a rather small and genuine smile on his face. "I feel I have an idea as to what this is about, your highness."
