Prince Paul?!

One day, King Paul!

Omega consort soon to be Prince!

The newspapers had of course reached their breakfast table that morning, they did so every morning. Though this time, John rather wished they didn't. One glance at the headlines and John was in complete and total anger.

Somebody had heard John, Martin and Paul's conversation, and leaked it to the press later that evening! But not only had that happened, but they had twisted the story too.

The headline of the Aquitaine times read:

Omega King to be! Or not to be...

And had a picture of Paul at their wedding, in his mother's royal cloak, next to it.

The subline read:

Inside Royal source tells all on the Omega Consort's new title...

It was the text that angered John the most, the way that the 'Royal Source' had portrayed Paul... It was horrible, and they had mostly lied about what was happening.

No longer will Omega Paul be 'the Royal Omega Consort', instead trading in that 'Title' for a newer and more formal one. He will soon have a ceremony to br crowned as 'Prince Paul of Aquitaine', thanks to the prime minister.

The inside source explains how when Paul was told he could not have the title, by the Chamberlain of the house, George Martin, he had began to insist on it. Martin explained how The Queen's deceased husband, the ex-Omega consort, George, was not granted such a title. At that answer, Paul apparently growled and moved past it, but still threatening to have his husband, Prince John of Aquitaine, 'take matters into his own hands'.

He had then begun to ask about a campaign that he wishes to be held in his name. The Queen apparently told the Omega he could not, under any circumstances, hold such a campaign. (No context into whatever the campaign is about was given.) When told this information, Paul was said to have stormed out of the room, slamming the door shut and knocking over a glass.

If he wishes to continue with this unknown campaign, it is clear he will need the public's support for Parliament to aknowledge it. What is unclear, however, is if Paul will get the public's support after behaving in such an unruly and uncalled for manor inside of the palace gates.

John could have screamed he was so furious.

He felt he tipped over the edge over the matter when Paul finally entered the kitchen, looking all cheery and happy after w delightful shower. John had been so taken away by how beautiful his husband looked in a morning that he had forgotten to move and hide the newspaper.

"Oh, it's my face." The boy initially grinned, and John soon snapped back into reality at those words.

His head darted around, in order to try and stop Paul, but it was too late. The newspaper was in the Omega's small hands. All John could do was watch as Paul's once happy face turned into one of confusion, then horror, then sadness. Once finished, he placed the newspaper back on the table, and broke down into tears.

"I- It's not-not true!" Paul cried, hugging John exceptionally tight. "They lied!"

"I know... I am so sorry, my love..." John frowned, pulling Paul in tighter to comfort the crying boy.

"I-It's just not what happened!"

"No, it isn't." John tried to sympathise with him, also knowing the truth, but Paul's cries just got louder. Eventually, John pulled away, placing a finger underneath his wet chin and lifting it up. "Listen to me, baby..."
