Chapter 12

Peter's POV

"Mr. Fury?" I asked when I walked into base.

"You got something kid?" he asked.

"N-no, but I-I wanted to ask you about wha-what happened to y/n's family?" I stuttered, Fury stopped what he was doing and looked at me shocked. I don't know if it was because of the question I was asking or the fact that I knew y/n was Hybrid.

"Why are you asking?" he asked.

"Because I wanna hear what you say." I said a little more confidently.

"It's none of your business." he said simply basically ignoring the question.

"I think it is. I already know the story and I've seen the reports. I think I should know who I'm working with before I get too deep, I learned that with Beck and I won't make that mistake again." I explained.

"And who told you this story? Huh?" he asked.

"Y/n." I said, he looked disappointed in me and himself.

"Look, kid, you've been given the story through the eyes of a scared little girl who doesn't know the whole story." he said.

"Then you explain it to me. What made you kill the only family she had?" I asked on the verge of tears.

"I didn't have a choice and she knows that," he yelled, their was something I had never seen on him before, desperation and grief. "Sometimes we have to do things to protect the ones we love."

"Who were you protecting?" I asked.

"Who do you think?" he asked back.

"Y/n? How were you protecting her by killing her family?" I asked angrily.

"If I hadn't then she would have been the one dead," he yelled. "You think it was easy for me to kill the woman I loved? You think it was easy for me to kill a kid?"

"Then why did you?" I asked.

"You wanna know the real story?"

"I want to know your side."

"Here," he said and handed me a folder filled with papers. "This is the real story, feel free to show it to y/n so she knows as well." he said and walked away.

I was surprised by the reaction I had gotten from him but took the folder back home to read with y/n. She was staying with Aunt May and I until her wing healed and she could continue her search for Gigi, which I was also going to help her with.

"Hey, Peter." Aunt May said when I walked through the door.

"Hi, is y/n in my room?" I asked.

"Yeah, did everything go okay with Fury?" she asked.

"I'm not sure yet," I said and showed her the folder before making my way into my room, I knocked two times before entering just in case. "Hey."

"Hey, how'd it go?" she asked. I handed her the folder and sat next to her on my bed. "What's this?"

"According to Fury, the real story." I said.

Y/n's POV

"What's in it?" I asked.

"I don't know, I was waiting to open it with you." he said.

"Well, let's see shall we." I said and we started reading through the papers.

MISSION REPORT

DECEMBER 19, 2017

Reason For Mission: Distress call. Said: Alien Associated Attack

Agents On Mission: Agents Jasmine and Seth (L/n) and Dr. Mist

Details Of Mission: Agents Jasmine and Seth entered the house first gun in grip in case things got out of hand. House was vacant with no sign of use in years. We traveled down to the basement. Found a little girl's body hanging by her neck.

Girl seemed about 9 and as if she had been dead for a few years, her body already decaying. Agent Jasmine told her son to help her take the body down. After further inspection of the body I realized there was a problem. The girl had needle marks in both of her arms.

I came up with the speculation that the girl may have overdose before she was hung but I would need to do more research. Jasmine got aggressive and started to attack me for saying it was something other than a suicide.

Her son begged her to stopped attacking me but she wouldn't listen to either of us. Her eyes went bloodshot red and she collapsed. I looked over to Agent Seth and he had shot her with a tranquilizer dart. he handed me his gun and begged me to shoot him while she was down.

I got scared and quickly dropped the gun and ran out. I believe there is something very wrong with the two mentally and physically. From my short observation I believe Agent Jasmine is mistreating her children and may have some part in this little girl's death.

The person who made the call was never found in that house and I refuse to work with the (L/n's) ever again.

Shorter chapter today. I'm feeling about just making a major time skip because I have no idea how else to continue this story.

Sorry. I'm not the best writers and I started writing this story around the time Far From Home came out and it's just gone down hill from there.
