Chapter 1

Y/n's POV

"Gigi!" I called. "Come on we gotta go." I said as I surveyed the room looking for any really small places Gigi could be hiding.

"I don't wanna go!" I heard her peep from behind a coffee mug. I walked over moving the mug to see Gigi tearing up.

"Neither do I but we don't have much of a choice." I said picking Gigi up and putting her on my shoulder. "Besides not everyone gets to live with the Nick Fury."

I walked out of our old shed with Gigi on my shoulder to see Fury standing by a car. "You ready to go?" He asked.

"Never am." I said getting into the car. An hour later we arrived at a little house. There was a tall gate that blocked the view of the house. "How are we supposed to get in?" As soon as I finished my question the fence opened letting the car inside the gate.

"Woah!" Gigi said in excitement looking out the window.

The house was like an underground lair that was above ground.

"This is where you live?" I asked Fury.

"No, this is technically one of our safe houses, but this is where we will be staying." Fury explained.

"Why again do you need us here?" Gigi asked.

"I want you here so I can keep an eye on you. Also I may have some new projects for you." Fury said and got out of the car.

I put Gigi back on my shoulder and got out of the car. "What are these new projects exactly?" I asked Fury.

"You'll find out soon."

"We can always count on you to give us a vague answer." Gigi quickly replied. Fury gave us both a look, as if he was trying saying "not funny" and "excuse me" at the same time without talking.

"Welcome, Agent y/n, Agent Gigi." Agent Hill said in a welcoming tone.

"Nice to see you again, Agent Hill." Me and Gigi said when we entered.

We all walked inside and sat in the living. We talked for a little bit then Fury decided to show me and Gigi our room.

"So this is gonna be your room. I had a small bed made personally for Gigi, so you guys should be good." He explained.

"THIS ROOM IS AMAZING!!!" I exaggerated. "Look at this there's an entire lab in my room!"

"I thought you'd like a few upgrades, since your last lab was a... shed." He trailed.

"Well, for just having a shed full of my technology and stuff I found I think my old lab was pretty impressive. No?" I explained.

"Very. What's more impressive is that your only 16 and you've already excelled higher than our other agents. And our youngest agent to be at such a high level."

"It's not that hard. Just put your mind on knowing what you want and you'll always achieve your goal." I said as I messed around with some of the technology and Gigi started organizing her area.

"I'll leave you two alone so you can settle in." Fury said and left the room.

"Nick Fury is so badass." Gigi said when he left.

"Don't say ass!" I quickly replied.

"Why not? You've said worse." Gigi asked.

"Yes, but I'm 16 and your 4...in human years. In your years your still 2."

"Huh?" Gigi asked confused.

I sighed in frustration. "In human years you sprouted out of your pot and started walking around 4 years ago. Which would make you four years old. Now in Groot years you would most likely already be a teenager, but because your not like other Groots it slowed down your aging process instead of speeding it up. Understand now?" I explained.

"Yeah. I got it now." Gigi said even though she still didn't understand. Gigi was smarter than other Groots, but there were some things she still didn't understand.

Meanwhile out front...

"She's a good kid. But are you sure she's ready for the field?" Hill asked.

"She's been on the field since before she watched her mother and brother die. She knows what she's doing and I know she'll be useful in helping him." Fury shared.

"I hope your right." Hill said with a sigh.
