Chapter 6

"What do you mean 'gone'?"

Mary looked up at her son and shook her head.

Sam walked out of the building to see his brother leaning on his car, talking to a blonde woman.

"Hey Dean, who's this?"

The woman turned around and looked at the tall man in his work suit. She reached forward but pulled her hand back, thinking it must seem too weird for someone to randomly touch you.

"Sam?" She muttered.

Sam furrowed his eyebrows and look at his brother, who nodded, before turning back to the woman.

"Mom?"

"Castiel, he can't feel him at the other end of the bond."

"Well that could mean many things." Luci informed.

"We should go check out the park." Michael got up and shrugged on his jacket.

Two cars rolled to a stop in front of the park and Sam, Michael, Gabriel, Luci, Raphael, Cole, Mary and Balthazar all got out.

"See anything?" Mike asked.

"Not from here. We should split up." Cole suggested.

Balthazar and Gabe were walking around in the blazing sun when they stopped.

"Geez could the day get any hotter?" Balth asked slipping his glasses onto his face.

"I know right. My lollipops are starting to melt." Gabe said holding up the empty stick.

Balthazar saw a glare out of the corner of his eye and he  crouched down and picked up the shiny object.

"Well then, someone doesn't value their keys."

The blonde glanced up just to have a car's headlights in his face. "What a beauty" he whistled.

Gabe looked up and walked over to his brother. He saw the car and smacked the back of his blond's head. "Dumbass, I swear you bring the dumb blond stereotype to life," he shook his head. "That's Dean's car you idiot."

Sam's phone chimed and he checked it. "They found his car. Come on."

"So this is the famous Baby. For once I have to agree that your brother has good taste in something." Balthazar muttered as the rest of the group rejoined them and the moose rolled his eyes.

"Found his phone beside the car," Cole said and handed it Michael. "And you might wanna take a look at this." He lead them over to the side of the car.

"Holy shit-take mushrooms."

In the side of the car, the words 'Your move' was etched into the black paint job.

"Well, someone's getting shot when Dean comes back."

Michael looked around the area and spotted a security camera from across the street. "One of these cameras must've picked up something. I'll check it out. Luce follow me, we'll see if we can pick up any signs of John or maybe the kid we saw him with."

"Wait, what does John have to do with this? And what kid?" Mary piped up. Everyone went silent and looked at each other.

"No one told her?" Balth drawled.

"Tell me what?" Mary insisted.

"Mom, we need to talk."

"We need to view your security cam footage." Michael said holding up his badge.

"Our cameras aren't working so if you're not ordering please leave."

"Look sir, this is very impor-"

"I don't care, Get outta my shop."

Michael sighed and turned to Luci. "You're up." He muttered turning his back to the counter.

Luci smirked and approached the counter. He grab the man by his collar and slammed him down onto the counter.

His eyes shifted but instead of blue, they were red.

"Good thing, we weren't asking."

"Guys, we got the footage. Apparently what happened to Cas was because of the mating bond and according to the direction the vehicle was travelling, they left the city."

"Okay, so what do we do now?"

"Go back home, see if we can trace where exactly they went." Michael responded.

"Why's there blood on that guy's shirt?" Cole asked.

"It took a little convincing for the shopkeeper to let us see the footage. He apparently doesn't like cops, worse now." Michael cringed.

"I'm pretty sure I won't have a job after this but who cares." Luci shrugged.

"Okay, let's get back to the house."

Balthazar jingled the impala's keys in his hands. "Finders keepers."
Sam snatched them out of his hand.

"No" Is all the moose said as he got in the car, Mary in the passenger seat.
