(Four months later....)
Dean ran into a random room and blocked it off with a shelf and couch. Repeated banging could be heard from the other side but he was safe, for now.
•
'On local news today, an ongoing investigation on the cause of the bombing in downtown Portland, that left over 200 killed and 30 hospitalized. More details with detective on case...'
The screen went black and the remote dropped onto the beside table.
"We've got another little fighter you know."
The omega sat on the edge of the bed and took the alpha's limp hand in his and placed it over his rounding stomach. There were small vibrations under their hands and the heart monitor spiked.
•
He could feel it, the miniature feet pressing against his palm and the smooth hand covering his.
A repetitive and fast beat echoed around him. It was a heartbeat and the alpha smiled even wider.
"It's time for you to go home."
The image of the house faded.
"How?"
A door appeared in the distance and someone seemed to be standing under the door frame but the light coming from the door disguised their face.
"That's your way out," the other brunet blond pointed out. "When you get through that door, treasure very moment with your family, you never know when it'll go away. Fate can be a little bitch."
"Always."
The three turned around as six humongous black dogs came running towards them, barking viciously.
"Time's up."
Dean nodded. "Thank you, for everything."
"No problem, now go!"
The wolf took off, the hounds right on his tail.
"Just gotta say, I look pretty badass as a werewolf." Dean2 and the angel rolled his eyes.
He was almost there, really close, but one of the dogs pounced and knocked him off the trail. The alpha shifted back and stared into the dangerous eyes of all six dogs.
"You're not stopping me from going through that door." He growled and the dogs snarled.
•
An alarm rang through the hospital.
"Code blue, code blue."
Doctor Meaning and Halstead ran over to room 47 to see the alpha flat lining and the omega on the ground.
"I got him." The woman ran over to the bed while Halstead ran over to the brunet.
"Nothing seems to be wrong with him." He lifted up the man's eyelids to see his slit eyes and jumped back.
"Natalie, he's a shifter."
"Who cares. Get him on a chair and help me over here."

"Is there anything else I should know about?"
Sam shook his head. "Not that I know of."
The detective squinted his eyes. "Uh huh, it's been four months and I have no leads on this whole thing," he got up from the table. "But if anything comes up. I'll let you know."
Michael got up as well and shook his hand. "Thank you."
A ringtone ran out in the diner and Sam picked up his. "Hello?"
