Dean sat beside Cas on the bonnet of Baby.

"They say before you die, your life flashes before your eyes." The omega turned beside him. "Do you think it's true?"

"I don't know. And i hope to never find out." Dean looked into his best friend's sapphire eyes. "I got too much to live for."

                                                   °

An ambulance siren rang through the hospital and soon after two glass doors slid open and in came paramedics and nurses rushing alongside a stretcher.

"We got another victim of the bombing in downtown Portland."

"Name?"

"No idea."

The nurse at the call station looked at the disfigured man on the stretcher, sadly. "Oh God, take him to ICU, treatment 1."

The paramedics nodded and rushed off.

"Someone page Dr. Choi, Rhodes, Manning and Halstead!" She commanded loudly into the busy hospital.

                                                °

"I thought you were afraid of heights?"

"Just afraid of falling, if that makes any sense."

"No, I get it but I'd never let you fall, I promise."

"Don't make promises you can't keep." Cas advised as he interlocked their fingers.

                                                 °

Four new people in white coats ran into the room and slipped on medical gloves quickly.

"What happened?"

"Someone reported seeing him fall 35 stories from the skyscraper that blew up."

"Woah" One responded and the paramedic nodded.

"He could've suffered head trauma, a broken spine, internal bleeding and who knows what else, falling from that height. How is he even alive right now?"

"Who knows man" The same paramedic responded as they left.

"BPM's low and dropping."

"Get an oxygen mask on. We need to stabilize him."

                                                  ~

"Sir?"

"Sir?! Are you okay? Are you hurt?"

You shouldn't have let go

"Sir?"

Sam tapped the nurse on her shoulder and led her away.

"Are you the family that came with the patient that ran through here a while ago?"

The tall man nodded.

"Do you know his name?"

"He's my brother. The one that I knew about anyway."

                                                    °
And Dean let go.

He let go of the platform holding them both up and they fell, the concrete slab immediately following.

"Dean, no!"

They fell together, the gravity of them falling opposing the wind hitting against their bodies.

"Dean, Marie-"

His mate's lips silenced him.

"I said I wouldn't let you fall didn't I?"

The omega held his mate tightly. "N-No" he whimpered.

"I love you, bee."

He held Cas even closer and shifted the last second before they hit the ground.

                                                   °

"He's crashing!"

"Start chest compressions, now!"

                                                   °

Cas opened his eyes and saw people crowded around him in a circle. His left arm hurt a lot and so did his head and leg but he still tried to sit up. He felt soft fur beneath his finger tips and glanced up.

"Dean?"

The wolf was unresponsive and the omega struggled to sit up and run his working and over the being's blood matted fur.

"P-puppy...?" he stuttered when the k9 didn't respond to his touch. "No no no no no please baby no wake up, please."

Michael, Sam, Luci, Mary, Cole, Raphael, Luci and Gabe forced themselves through the crowd, all sporting injuries of their own from the blast.

Mary and Sam saw the omega crying over the bigger than normal animal on the ground and Mary was the first to run over there.

"What are you demons all looking at, someone call the freaking ambulance!" Luci, surprisingly, shouted at the surrounding people.

                                                   °

"It's not working."

One of the doctors turned to the other. "We need to jump start his heart manually."

"Are you sure it's not too late for this guy?"

"I'm not giving up on my patient." The female doctor muttered, determinedly as she walked up to the bed.

                                                 °

A few tears slipped from Mary's eyes. "Oh baby boy."

Cas had his head rested against the brown fur when he felt a spark in the back of his mind and felt a small movement under his fingertips. He sat up.

The bloody, broken wolf slowly changed back into its broken and even bloodier human form.

Cas gently placed the brunet blond's bloodied face into his lap while Sam checked his pulse.

"He-He's alive." He commented.

They heard sirens draw closer and soon two people were pushing through the crowd. "Move, move." They crouched beside the body. "We have to carry him out."

"I'm not leaving him."

"Cas-"

"I'm not leaving him," The omega snapped. "not again."

"Hey," one of the paramedics started. "You remember me right? Dawson. I was there when your house burnt down last year. Look, he'll be okay, we just need to get him to the hospital first. You can even ride with us, okay?"

Cas nodded.

                                                  °

"You said he'd be okay!"

"Someone get him out here!"

Sam dragged the thrashing omega out of the room abs back over to the waiting room.

Hester ran over to her son and hugged him. They both sank to the cold tiled ground.

"I can feel him dying," He cried into his mother's shoulder and Hester rubbed his head to calm him down.

"Shhh, he'll be okay sweetheart, he'll be okay."

"He promised."
