Ubbe Point of View

The feast for Jarl Lukas was as expected. Our people dancing, drinking, and eating to excess. Meanwhile, the Jarl himself was sitting next to my mother, observing the festivities. He smiled and laughed at whatever they were talking about but as soon as I whisked away my little Dove from our table to dance Lukas's attention was no longer on my mother. He was looking at us. I suddenly felt a surge of jealousy and possessiveness over my Dove. She was ours. At least for now there would be a day where she would have to choose between the four of us. It would be of her own free will to choose who she would be mated to. I smiled at the fact that the beautiful woman in my arms was smiling as she danced with me. 'Who knew that elves loved to dance?' I thought. Inevitably like Gilthoniel I let the music take over me, joining my princess as we both now danced. It felt almost intimate between Gilthoniel and me because this was the first time, I felt every single curve of her body. Her sweet lavender scent washed over me as our bodies were more than, close to each other. And our eyes connecting every once and a while.

She had suddenly taken my breath away when she placed those soft lips of her against mine. I smiled into our kiss before she pulled away. Both of us were smiling ear to ear before we both had decided to go back to our seats. As I took my seat once again my eyes turned to Jarl Lukas whose eyes never left My Dove even though it was clear that she was already taken. I chuckled to myself as my attention was back to my brothers and princess. Ivar was already filling her plate with different meats, vegetables, and etc as well as, ale. It was a sight that was very new to us because he was always the one being served not the other way around. Gilthoniel of course did not know this. She was happy to accept my little brother's generosity. Our elven princess happily indulged in food and drink that was given to her. All of us resumed enjoying ourselves as the feast went on.

-Hours later-

It was way past midnight when the joy of the feast had finally waned. Leaving only a few who were either passed out drunk or simply too tired to leave the Great Hall. Ivar was the first to leave our table, complaining that his legs were numb from sitting for so long. Hvitserk and Sigurd had left together soon after. Gilthoniel was slumped over the table sleeping after the high amount of food and alcohol she had consumed.

"You always look so beautiful, My Dove", I said to myself.

I walked over to her, gently pulling her away from the edge of the table and carrying her bridal style out of the Great Hall. My footsteps were a little unsteady from drunkenness nonetheless, I was able to carry her all the way to the palace. Once there the only people that were milling about the place were the servants who cleaning. They paid us no attention as we walked through the halls heading towards her bedroom. I struggled a bit to open the door but once open I crossed the room and laid her down in her bed. I closed the door before, I gently took off her boots. However, as I was about to leave, I felt her hand grab my hand.

"Stay. Don't leave", said Gilthoniel with slurred speech. I turned to look at her, her blue eyes were trained on me. Pleading for me to stay.
I without a thought complied with my Dove's request. Immediately, I sat down at the edge of the bed, unlacing my boots, and taking them off. Next was my outer garb which was my long vest and leather arm braces. It felt so right as I had laid right next to Gilthoniel on her bed. I could easily imagine that in the future that we would be laying in our bed, in a cottage not too far from Kattegat. Living in domestic bliss as we farmed and raised our children. I could not help but smile at the image that my mind was conjuring.
