Starlight (Vikings/The Hobbit crossover) AU

Hivtserk POV

            All I could think of was her laying in that bed and nothing else. It didn't matter to me the men and women who were standing in front of my mother. Complaining about land disputes and broken deals. Gilthoniel was the only person that dominated my thoughts. I silently pray to the Gods that she would awaken from her deep sleep. I downed the last of my ale, sighing deeply as I quietly walked out of the Great Hall with some hope that my mother didn't notice. I walked quickly to the palace to Gilthoniel's room with some hope in my heart that she was awake. I slowed down when there was no sign of my mother's guards coming after me. I was slightly out of breath as I walked down the palace halls to Gilthoniel's room.

'Dear Gods please awaken my darling from her sleep' I prayed mentally. I pushed open her door with bated breath. Hoping to see her sitting up from her bed waiting for me to come to see her. However. My hopes were quickly let down when I saw her in the same place, the same position as she was before. Laying there peacefully without a clue of what was happening around her. My princess no matter what state she was in, Gilthoniel always looked beautiful. I closed the door, making my way to her bedside. Carefully laying beside her on my side I wrapped my arms around her petite body so close to mine. So close that the tip of our noses was almost touching.

"I pray to the Gods, my darling, that you would open those pretty eyes of yours. You don't know how much I need you to be in my life, Gilthoniel", I whispered. I kissed her forehead. Suddenly, as I pulled away her breathing pattern had changed. Gilthoniel's breathing was much faster and her eyes started moving erratically behind her eyelids. I quickly sat up from the bed looking down at her as she slowly opened her eyes.

"Darling?", I said. She looked up at me with a sleepy look in her eyes. Gilthoniel looked at me for a long time before, placing her head against my cheek. She smiled.
"Hello...Hvitserk", she said. I was so happy to see her awake that I placed my lips against her soft ones. My love or perhaps my lust for her took over when I laid my body on top of hers, wrapping my arms around her waist. So that I could bring her body closer to mine as we kissed. Instinctively I placed myself between her legs. Gilthoniel, was stunned by my actions however, that did not matter when I could feel her hands card through my hair to the back of my head, pulling my hair. I moaned as she brought me closer to her sweet lips. Her lips moved against mine further fueling my love for her. I moved my hand from her waist, trailing down the curve of her waist to the fullness of her behind. She gasped as I squeezed her butt. That was when I slipped my tongue into her mouth. Our tongues moved against each other. The room that was once silent was filled with the sound of our passionate moans. We were so lost in each other. I could feel my blood rushed down to my semi-hard member. I never wanted it to end however, reality had settled in when we pulled away. Breathing heavily, we looked at each other smiling.

I was about to kiss her again when she placed her hand against the plains of my chest. Pushing me away from her so that there was space between us. She shook her head. I quickly knew what she was trying to say, and I respect the fact that she did not want to go any further. A few minutes had passed, and our breathing had finally settled back to normal. However, our eyes never left each other neither had we moved out of the position we were currently in. We were smiling at each other before, either of us spoke.

"Never all my years has a man touched or kissed me in such a way", she said. Her voice sounded weak and scratchy.
"Never have I felt so much passion and love for a woman as I kissed her. I apologize if that was too forward of me to do us, Gilthoniel", I replied. Although I loved what had happened to us, I did feel some regret. Gilthoniel was not human after all and her ways were perhaps different from mine. I doubted any actions of love between elves were as forward.
Gilthoniel shook her head. "I...I liked the way you kiss me, Hvitserk. But, going any further than just passionate kissing would be dangerous for any one of us", she replied.
I frowned. 'Dangerous?'

We moved out of the position that we were into where she was laying her head on my chest. I had my arm around her shoulders with my hand playing with her hair. As for the other hand, it was intertwined with hers and placed on my chest.

"Why would it be dangerous for us to make love to each other?", I asked confused.
She stared into my eyes while playing with my hair. "It would be dangerous because when an elf makes love to their significant other, they would become man and wife. Soulmates for all eternity. It is a meaningful act to my people", she placed her hand upon my cheek, "I don't want to make any rash decisions and bind myself to someone who isn't ready. I feel something magical between us Hvitserk. However, you are not the only one", she said. I leaned into her touch, placing mine over hers.
"You feel the same way with my brothers as well", I said.

She nodded.
I sighed. I should have expected such an answer because between the four of us we have admitted we feel some kind of electricity and attraction to this elf goddess in my arms. Its just when were entangled in each embrace I felt like it was just us and no one mattered but us. There was just some part of me that wished that she would choose me to be her husband, her mate for life. On the other hand, it would be unfair for my brothers to not have the same opportunity. It would ultimately her choice who she wanted to be with her forever.

I kissed her forehead. "I understand", I said.
Gilthoniel smiled, kissing me on the lips before, laying back down on my chest. I hugged her close as I closed my eyes. Falling asleep with her in my arms.
