*The Great Hall*
Third Person POV

The elven princess and her four suitors talked amongst themselves as they sat on the sidelines of the Great Hall. Meanwhile, their mother, Aslaug sat upon her throne in perfect posture and grace. She was the type of Queen that knew how to run a kingdom without her missing king. Today, was an important day because a Jarl named, Lukas was arriving at Kattegat to acquire his newest slave from the royal family. Margrethe. The Sons of Ragnar was excited, to say the least, that they would no longer have her in their presence. Life for them as well as, their princess would be much easier. Easier to prove which of them was worthy to be her soulmate.

Everything was falling into place. The Great Hall's doors opened to reveal a man who was just a foot taller than, Bjorn. His long blonde hair flowed down his back with intricate designs that matched perfectly with his beard. He was the much-anticipated Jarl that would be picking up the conniving servant, Margrethe. Jarl Lukas was a great ally of Kattegat and fought alongside the prince's father, Ragnar in the early years of the city. That is why the brothers trusted him the most to honor the deal they made. He and his warriors were just ten feet away from the queen's throne. He placed his hand over his heart and bowed to Queen Aslaug.

"Good Afternoon! Queen Aslaug of Kattegat! It is an honor to be in your presence as well as, your wonderful family", he said with reverence to the woman before him.
Aslaug nodded with a kind smile on her face. She stood up from her throne, stepping down the few steps that led up to it. Her hands clasped in front of her stomach. "It is an honor to have you in my city, Jarl Lukas. We welcome you with such joy and happiness. My boys tell me that you recently bought a thrall that you bought from them and that is the reason for your arrival", she said elegantly.

'Thank the Gods that in a matter of days she'll be gone' thought Aslaug.

The Golden-haired Jarl nodded. "Aye. They had told me that this thrall they have sold has been a nuisance for some time. And for the prince they have presented to me I am willing to take her off their hands", he replied.
"Very good. We shall complete your transaction with my son's tomorrow morning. As for now please you and your men take your time to settle down in the rooms the thralls have prepared. We also have prepared a feast in your honor here in the Great Hall. So, please rest as much as your can and I shall send a servant to fetch you", said Queen Aslaug.
Jarl Lukas and his men bowed once again to the red-haired Queen then, followed their designated servants to their rooms.

Once they left Queen Aslaug waved over a servant to where she was standing. Whispering in her ear to send word to the prison guards to prepare Margrethe for tomorrow's transaction. The young thrall nodded and promptly left in haste. The royal family of Kattegat in addition to their servants were not the only ones excited for the exit of the whorish blonde to leave the palace. You see, Margrethe ever since she started serving the Sons of Ragnar, had been lording over the others with her newfound status. Saying that she was steps away from becoming free and a wife of one of the princes. Oh, how wrong she was. She was still the property of those above her station. And now she will be sold like cattle to a Jarl of a faraway land. A Jarl who is not easily persuaded by just a pretty face. For he knew what kind of woman Margrethe is.

As for the princes and the elf princess they left the Great Hall to train except for the second youngest, Sigurd.

Sigurd POV

To say that life is fair is an understatement because to me life was never fair. At least that is what life meant to me. I have descended from being the youngest and most favored brother/son to being the second youngest. The one that was overlooked one too many times. The first was when Ivar was born, the second was when Margrethe came into the picture and the very last was with the arrival of my sweetheart, Gilthoniel. The current center of all of our affection. I was jealous that my brothers have gone before me trying to win over her affections. The silver hair beads, the passionate kisses, and her words of comfort. As a man, I felt that it was within my right to try and win her love more than, my brothers. That is why I had excused myself to work in my room. A gift of music and perhaps an invitation to my secret place which, was a field full of nature. One that has yet, been occupied by anyone from Kattegat. I knew that she would love to visit that place with me because of her deep connection to the world.
