Remembrance

"Okay Felix choose your weapon." Minho said as he stepped away from the targets after pulling the knives that sunk in to the wooden boards because of the immense power.

"I don't know-" Felix stopped infront of a double sided blade sitting on the table of weapons infront of him. He lifted it up, a little heavy but felt somewhat familiar. It reminded him of Hyunjin's sword.

hyunjin...

"This one? Not bad." Minho said as he eyes the blade Felix was holding. He quickly put down the blade and picked up the bow and the set of arrows next to it. "No I'm going to use this."

Minho raised an eyebrow but refrained from asking questions.

Felix checked his stance, nocked an arrow and took the aim, facing the targets taking a deep breath in. He could feel that many eyes were already on him.

Felix let the arrow fly hour of his hands as he let out a breath hoping it would hit and just as he expected it hit bullseye earning a collective gasp from the observing crowd.

"You've trained before?" Minho asked as he patted Felix on the back.

"No first time trying actually." Felix replied as he wiped a bead of sweat off his forehead.

"Lucky shot I guess." Minho said as he handed Felix another arrow and walking back to the table to get his knives.

Felix turned around and looked at the longe slightly above them to see Changbin giving him a reassuring smile.

The practice went on for a few hours. Felix wasn't expecting himself to be good at archery but for some reason he was. After the practice finished they were all taken back to their cells till the next announcement.

Changbin insisted on walking Felix back into the cell.

"Lix... you don't mind me calling you that right?"

lix... Hyunjin used to call me by that all the time. Why do I feel like this? I miss him like... a lot and every small thing reminds me of him

"Hey Felix? It's okay if it makes you uncomfortable I won't call you by that." Changbin looked embarrassed.

"Oh no call me by whatever you please. I just zoned out for a minute." Felix smiled.

"You were really cool during the practice. Everyone was asking my brother who you were. Hah they all co sides you as the biggest competition... you AND your friend." Changbin pointed his chin towards Minho who was walking a few feet infront of them who turned back and glared as he heard his name being mentioned.

"Yikes he's scary... anyways the next trial is coming up. This one is no mind game its hand to hand combat. As you saw from the practice only a few survived the 1st trial. You will be paired up against another group."

"From what I heard rules are pretty flexible. That includes being allowed to kill your own team mate during the game..." Felix stared at Changbin for a few minutes.

"You're not joking...? Are you...?"

"I'm afraid I'm not."

That was literally one of the lowest things they can do.

Everyone who was thrown to this place was looking for a way to win somehow so they can get out, if killing your own team mate was allowed in a kill or be killed situation how could they be trusted?

"This is so sick..." Felix said as he sat down on his cell.

"It is." Minho sighed from the other side of the glass.

The games master arrived a few minutes ago and told them that cell mates were going to be the duos which automatically made Minho and Felix into one team.

In a way it was a relief but again, Jisung hyung's life is on the line can I really trust him?

"You know I heard there's a funny rule in this trial..." Minho said in a monotonous voice. Felix froze and turned his face towards Minho.

"That bitch Park Jinyoung did say you were my biggest competition..."

"Hyung... Stop joking you're being scary." Felix said as a chill ran down his spine. He took a step away from the glass Minho was leaning on.

Minho laughed loudly and slapped his own knee. "Please Felix you think I'd kill you?"

His smile slowly faltered. "Even if I win this I can't save Jisung. And... I'm pretty sure Ji does NOT want me kill you, so don't worry. I'll even protect you if I have to."

"Hyung..."

okay now I feel like shit for doubting him when hes literally passing a chance to actually kill his biggest opponent

the second trial will begin momentarily gamers please get ready to move to the Med Bay for your checkups

Minho sighed again after the automated voice finished the announcement.

"We can do this Felix let's go." Minho as they were taken to the Med Bay followed by two guards.

Strangely Chan was already at the entrance of the Med Bay pacing back and forth. Felix raised his eyebrow, turned to Minho who also looked confused and shrugged.

Chan looked up and saw Felix walking his way and walked up to him.

"Theres something wrong with his last reports I need to take him asap." Even before the guard could reply Chan grabbed Felix's arm and dragged him towards Chan's room.

"So I found someone and you are NOT gonna believe who it is. Come on."

Felix was baffled. Who on earth could Chan possibly be speaking of?

Not just you lix we all are very much Hyunjin deprived. And also Mnet Kingdom is kinda like the death games in this story (it literally IS like a death game I mean) istg I hate it here anyways
