kosume looked up at nanami wondering why he wasn't killing her.

he seemed to have tears swell up in his eyes as well. she didn't have to try to read his emotions to understand how he was feeling.

he was emphasizing with her. he felt what she felt. he was reliving his past life. how he couldn't save his old friend, yu haibara.

"nanami..." kosume started, nanami wiped his tears with his burned arm and kosume said, "i'm happy that i met you, and i'm happy. i-" but before she could finish, she was interupted by a loud voice.

"how cute~ kosume, i knew that leaving you with nanami would be a mistake. after all, you LOVE him!" mahito mocked.

kosume quickly stood up and got into fighting position.

"kosume we both know that i won't win against you, but.." he trailed off and another mahito appeared behind her. his hands firmly placed on nanami's stomach.

kosume's eyes grew wide open as she activated her cursed technique, poison flower and froze the two mahitos.

"i told you, you were in love. ah, i wonder what hanami would think of this. you're just like your parents. marrying a filthy human. hanami wanted to get rid of humans that have been abusing the world for thousands of years. poor hanami.." mahito sang.

kosume looked at mahito in anger before whispering, "run.. nanami please run."

nanami didn't listen though, he ran his blade through the ash blue haired curse's neck, excorcising it.

the curse deformed and melted away and mahito said, "ahhh~ did you have to do that?"

"nanami sensei!!" itadori's voice called out.

kosume turned to him and said, "itadori! take nanami away!"

itadori swallowed his fears back and ran towards nanami, helping him run in the process.

as they were running away another mahito appeared near nanami and immediately eliminated him.

nanami's whole upper body disappeared, leaving nothing but blood splatters. both itadori and kosume stared in shock and terror.

itadori watched as nanami's lower body fell in front of him and the real mahito that killed nanami started fighting itadori.

rage and anger took over kosume, making her lose control of her emotions as she ran towards mahito with a bud in her hands.

mahito had a crazy smile plastered on his masochistic face and she stabbed the bud deep into mahito's chest. the while stem was planted onto his chest and blood started slattering out of his chest.

he looked at her and smiled before falling down as the bud blossomed into a nasty green lily.

outraged, kosume unlocked a new technique - withering blossom - a new technique she'd use to excorcise whoever got in the way.

"WITHERING BLOSSOM!" she exclaimed as the bud on mahito's shoulder grew and the stem which the flower grew on grew in size as well.

it spread throughout mahito's whole body, destroying his soul, eventually splattering his body, popping it like a balloon.

nothing was left of mahito, not his guts or even his blood. he just disappeared out of the earth.

the clone which was fighting itadori fell on its knees and kosume started running towards nanami.

she herself fell on her knees and stared at the remaining lower half of nanami.

kosume felt her throat burn as her whole body shook, unable to move properly.

itadori was also crying, mourning for his teacher.

"i... i couldn't protect him..." the curse cried. she then looked up at itadori.

she couldn't bare the pain. she never imagined herself being in a situation like this. falling in love with a human like her father did. then having to deal with their deaths.

so she looked itadori in the eyes with her own teary ones and said, "itadori.. please.. excorcise me. right now."

"but-" itadori said as he wiped his tears.

"everyone.. everyone i care about is dead... i.. please do it. it's too painful yuuji.." kosume begged shakily.

everything was a blurr and gray. the gray she always lived with was back.

"kosume.. i'm sorry..." itadori said before getting into position, "it was a pleasure meeting you."

kosume stood up and closed her eyes with a smile. everything was going to end now.

itadori closed his eyes before breathing out a breathless and inaudible, "i'm sorry."
