Chapter 6

Regina was trying to teach Emma magic, but it wasn't going very well!

"Focus... concentrate!" Regina yelled as she waited for Emma to light the fire

"It's kind of hard when your talking in my ear!" Said Emma

"Or when the wind blows, or it's raining, or when someone is shooting arrows at you!" Said Regina "Yes, concentration is hard. That's the point. Find your anger and use it!"

"No there has to be a way without going dark... Hope how did you do it?" Emma asked

"Me? Oh, it kind of just happened" I said uncomfortably

"How?" Emma asked

"Gold was torturing me shortly after he had brought magic back, and my powers went all over the place. Then there was the whole saving mom from the wraith and then helping to open the portal. But whenever I used magic, I would go back to being tortured, like in my head and it would hurt. So I didn't. But then it all kind of shot out of me one day and after that, I just kept trying random things. Like I had seen mom make fireballs before so I tried it. It was like I already knew how to do it" I said

"That isn't normal though. Learning magic takes time usually" Said Regina

"So you didn't use anger?" Emma asked

"Nope" I said "At the time I was overwhelmed from hearing that Mom was the one who had killed Archie, obviously it wasn't true but I had a hard time dealing with that. But I was sad and hurt and I just wanted to curl up in bed and cry and then it happened" I said

"See, I don't have to go dark" Said Emma

"Your such a pathetic waste of ability! Hope is an anomaly!" Regina said

"Your a monster!" Said Emma pissed

"Smell that?" Regina asked

"What?!" Emma growled

"Smoke" Regina said pointing at the fire that was now lit thanks to Emma. Hook came out of the trees and wanted to talk to David and Mary-Margret. They were acting all weird after their talk!

"Where are you guys going?" Emma asked

"To get firewood" Said Hook at the same time David said "To get water"

"Guys what's going on?" Emma asked

"Neal's alive!" Said Mary-Margret

"Neal is... Alive?" Emma asked shocked

"Maybe... Sorry she deserved to know" Said Mary-Margret. They then told us their plan to go and confirm that Neal is alive, not everyone was up to the task though

"This is a waste of time! He's toying with us" Said Regina

"I don't think so. See these tracks, someone was definitely resisting" Said Mary-Margret pointing at the marks on the ground

"How do we know that's Neal?" Emma asked

"Someone was fighting for their life" Said Mary-Margret

"Are you really going to fall for this?" Regina asked. No one said anything "Fine, you want to follow the evil munchkins dirt road, be my guest!"

"Wait, where are you going?" Emma asked as Regina started walking away

"To save our son!" She replied

"We need to stick together!" Said Emma

"No we don't" She replied

"Mom, don't go" I said
