Chapter 7

Things were good between me and Hook! Like really good. He was acting like a dad and although it will take some getting used to, I genuinely think we could have a semi-normal parent, kid relationship!

"So thinking back, our first meeting probably didn't give you the best first impression" Said Hook as we walked to the camp

"Oh you mean when you threatened me and Belle with a gun over your revenge?" I asked

"Yeah that meeting..." Said Hook awkwardly

"It's fine, I guess I sort of knew that wasn't the real you. I know you'll change for the better. I mean look at you already! When you first came to Storybrook, you were a mean pirate who was obsessed with your revenge, now-" I said before Hook cut me off

"I'm a mean pirate without any revenge" He said

"No, your way nicer!" I replied. Once we were all back at the camp, Neal told us his plan to capture Pan's shadow

"That's your way off the island?" Emma asked

"It's the only way" Said Neal "That's why we need to capture it"

"Capture it? We've never been within 10 feet of Pan unless he wanted us to be. Sneaking up to steal his shadow sounds insane!" Said Emma

"Except Pan's shadow is rarely with him, it's an entity unto itself. It can carry out his will from miles away" Said Hook

"It means we can get his shadow without having to be anywhere near Pan as long as you know where to look, I know where" Said Neal

"Ok, you and I are on shadow duty" Said Emma

"As am I and Hope. This trek won't be easy. You could use another veteran of the island... and I want to get to know my daughter more" Said Hook

"Thanks" Said Neal

"Well, in the meantime we'll give Tink a heads up, see if she can make good on her promise and get us into Pan's camp" Said David

"Ok, we met back at Tink's. Then we get Henry and get the hell back to Storybrook" Said Emma. We all got ready for our journeys.

"Hey... you ok?" Mary-Margret asked

"Fine why?" I asked her confused

"It's just... a big deal, admitting Hook is your... father" She said uncomfortably

"I've known for ages, it's just weird trying to talk to him now he knows. But I'm fine" I replied

"Ok" She said

"Are you ok?" I asked clearly seeing how weird she had been acting since David had told her that he got nicked by the arrow and nearly died.

"Yeah" She replied clearly lying. I could tell she didn't want to talk about it so I left her be while I finished gathering my stuff to go with the other three. We followed Neal back to his cave. He needed the coconut nightlight thing that we had hidden. Emma went to grab it while me and the guys waited for her

"I owe you thanks" Said Hook to Neal "For being so understanding"

"Understanding about what?" He asked

"About Emma and me" Said Hook

"What?" Neal asked confused

"Our dalliance" Hook replied "You don't know do you? Well this is awkward. The two of us shared a kiss. Apologies, I assumed she told you"

"Honestly, it probably... slipped her mind" Said Neal "We're kind of focused on getting our son back"

"Of course" Said Hook. When Emma returned, things were awkward. You could feel the tension in the air.
