"Dude, you have to try out the diving board, it's wicked!" I hear Fort say as he launches himself into the air and pencil dives into the deep end of the pool.
"Alright, just let me get up there first." I say. We are the only ones in the indoor pool area, so we can use our powers. I let the energy flow through me as I dive into the water. I swim a full 13 feet down, faster than I could have before and launch myself upward. As I jump through the air, I do a flip and land on the diving board.
"Show off." Fort mutters, good naturedly.
"Well, I can't help it." I say, leaping off of the diving board and into the water, then bobbing up to the top. We hear footsteps and turn to see a very worried AV come around the corner.
"Boys, we need to get back to the hotel room now." She says, holding towels in her arms. I swim over to her while Fort climbs off of the diving board and runs/walks towards AV. I get there about a second after him, and quickly dry off. We follow her through the maze of the hotel and finally into the hotel room. As soon as we open the door, we hear a crash and rush in. Inside, Alina looks exhausted, chasing after Sierra as she disappears and reappears all over the place.
"What's going on?" I say, catching Sierra mid fall, before she can hit the ground. She teleports out of my arms and onto the couch after about ten seconds.
"For a few minutes now she just keeps teleporting everywhere. I don't know what to do, I can't keep her in one spot." Alina says. Her voice sounds strained, like she's close to tears.
"Let me try something." Fort says, walking over to Sierra, who just teleported onto the kitchen island. He places one of his hands about an inch from her back and a bubble of energy surrounds her. Sierra seems to relax in the bubble and stops teleporting.
"Wow, it worked!" Fort exclaims, amazed.
"Yeah it did!" I reply and we high five. The bubble isn't exactly a bubble, more like a whitish yellow color suit that has little crackles of energy that are so harmless that when I get touched by one, I just feel warmth.
"Ok, I think we should probably relax, hopefully Sierra will wake up before dinner. Let's all stay up here too, I don't want to be having another incident like that happening again." Alina says, sitting down on one of the stools seated by the island.
"I'm good with that." AV says, sitting on the stool next to her.
"I'll go set her down on her bed." I say, picking up the bubble holding Sierra and walking from the room. I walk through the living room and into the master bedroom.
"Mmhmm~" Sierra murmurs in her sleep, rolling out of my arms and landing softly on the bed. I cover her up with her blanket and walk into the living room to sit on the couch, where Fortarmo sits, fiddling with his phone.
"Bro! You have a phone?!"
"Yeah, don't you?" Fort replies, looking at me questioningly amused.
"No!" I say, acting like I'm jealous. All of a sudden a small bright green portal opens up just above my hand and an iPhone 23 plops into my hand. It is a medium sized phone with a screen that actually folds over both sides of the phone. It has high quality resolution and has vivid colors, it has 3 cameras and a camera flash in every color. Another thing it has is excellent battery life, up to a month; it has a very strong personal hotspot that runs on 12g and has a stylus that can be stored inside the phone. How do I know this? I read the manual that dropped in with it.
"Thanks Alina!" I say, turning on the phone.
"Now I have a phone!" I continue, grinning a big grin.
"Lucky, you have the newest phone they've made thus far!"
"Thus? Who says thus anymore?" I say, teasing him with a smile.
"Uh, I do, obviously!" Fort says, rolling his eyes and grinning.
"Ok." I say, not letting go of the topic fully. I open up the app store on the phone, and think while I scroll through the many possible apps I could get.
"Fort, what games should I get?" I ask him, looking up from my phone to speak to him.
"These ones." He replies, showing me his phone screen. There are seven games in his Games folder. The games are Fortnite, Minecraft, Piano Tiles, Clash of Clans, Among Us and Fruit Ninja.
I download each one, onto my phone and I play on each one. I stop for a moment and my mind wonders what Sierra must be dreaming about.
