"Why do these things keep coming after us?!" I say, my voice strange and foriegn, like I'm inside someone else. I look older, more mature. My hair is still blonde but is caked with mud and blood. I'm taller, older by probably three or four years. I'm wearing an old ripped up sweatshirt and a pair of ripped up multi-pocket pants. My shoes are some combat boots that seem to be pretty new and expensive.
"I don't know. Watch out!" The girl next to me exclaims, barrelling into me, both of us narrowly missing a very painful end. Her name is Bellona. She's really tall, like six feet tall, has dark brown hair, red glowing eyes and is wearing a red and black battle dress that never seems to get dirty, ever.
"Ow!" I say, cradling my head in my arms. Ever since I arrived here, which was a week ago, I've been having random pains.
"What?" Bellona asks, looking concerned. I helped her out in a battle she was in. She is a warrior. She loves going into battles and~ hm, I don't remember. Everyday it seems I lose a piece of myself, a memory of someone I hold dearly. Oh what's her name? Ava? Amina, no Alina, that's her name. There's someone else though, Ammon. I remember his name and vaguely what he looks like.
"Nothing, let's just keep going." I grab her hand and run out of the rubble we were hiding under. A creature that seems a little human-like with it's pale purple skin, bulging black veins, a lizard-like tail and sunken yellow eyes. It runs towards us but I send an earthquake it's way and it falls on a stalactite that's protruding from the ground.
"How long has this been going on exactly?" I ask her, my memory has been a little off lately.
"I told you, two weeks!" She replies, frustrated by my not remembering for the millionth time.
"Right, sorry." I reply, staring down at the ground. I don't stare down for long, I hear something whiz past my head and I whip around so fast that I'll probably have whiplash. Without thinking, I put my hand out in the direction of the bullet and the guy's gun and bullets form into a ball and chain necklace. The guy looks at me with horror and all I do is smile. I know it's wrong for me to smile, but it just happens. For a second I hear a girl's voice in my head, calling to me.
"Sierra, wake up! SIERRA!" It's a familiar voice, Alina's voice. I hesitate with my next step forward, but push through it. Ignoring the voice, I walk up to the guy, he looks about my age, well the age I look now and looks very nervous.
"How did you do that?!" He asks, inching away from me.
"I'm magic, what can I say?" I reply, touching his arm lightly. At the touch, I can see the amber colored cloud dissipate from around him, replaced by a bright pink cloud that's so bright it would blind anyone.
"My oh my! Look at you, aren't you beautiful?" He says, looking at me like a puppy.
"Thank you! So, what's your name?" I ask, looking back at Bellona for a second. She looks at me in awe and confusion.
"My name is Jayden, my sweet." He replies, looking drunk. Annoyed, I snap my fingers and he instantly turns to normal. His little pink cloud becomes grey.
"Jayden, would you please-" I'm cut off by the sound of vomiting as well as a yellow-green colored cloud mixing with the grey one.
"Yeesh, that doesn't seem too good." Bellona says, placing a hand on my shoulder.
"Yeah, my powers did a number on him." I reply, wincing when he starts up again. He finally stops and looks at me, having to turn around to do so.
"What the hell did you do to me?!" He asks, looking at me in horror.
"Oh, I temporarily made you love me, didn't you know that?" I ask, grinning. I just can't help it.
"You're a witch aren't you?" He asks, backing away more. I follow, cornering him.
