I sit with my back to the island, thinking about how this day could have been a lot better.

"Why oh why can't anything, everything, go right for an entire day?" I ask, exasperated.

"What do you mean?" Arktivice asks, turning towards me.

"Well, ever since I got these powers~", I say, putting up my hands.

"~something has to happen that makes me feel useless, maybe even more so than when I didn't have powers."

"Oh Alina." Arktivice says sweetly. "You aren't useless. You are smart, loving, funny, beautiful, strong, amazing and brave. You have gotten us out of every bad situation we've come across so far! Alina, You are the opposite of any negative thing you will ever think of yourself as."

"Thank you, I needed that." I say, wrapping my arms around her.

"Your welcome." She replies.

I let go of her, get up and kiss her cheek. I then make my way into the living room, where the boys have been talking and playing games on their phones.

"So boys, whatcha up to?" I ask, walking casually into a portal behind them. They quickly hide their phones.

"Nothing." Forttarmon says, in a guilty tone.

"Come on, you guys know you can't hide anything from me." I say, grinning. Ammon reluctantly hands over the phone, which has a whole bunch of pictures of girl celebrities.

"Ahhh, well I'll leave you two to your talk about crushes." I say, smirking at how embarrassed they look. I walk back through a portal, right behind Arktivice.

"So, whatcha wanna do?" I say. She jumps like a foot into the air.

"Alina!" She exclaims. "You scared me to death."

"Nah, you look pretty alive to me." I reply, smirking.

"Ok, so you scared me half to death, but still."

"It's not my fault you're so easy to scare~ I mean, you look cute when I scare you, kinda hard to resist."

"Whatever." She says playfully.

"Seriously! You do look cute when I scare you!"

"Alright, well then I'll have to scare you right back." She says, matter of factly.

"I'm good with that." I reply, grabbing her hand and pulling her.

"Where are you taking me to?" She asks me, keeping up with my pace.

"It's a surprise." I reply. We walk up to the hotel room door, but instead of opening the door, I make a portal below us and we fall. We fall slowly at first, and then when the portal closes, we go faster. I switch from falling to flying as we skydive. I can't tell if Arktivice can feel the difference though, by the expression on her face. I flip over onto my back, causing her to flip over too and we slow down, hovering in the air. I can tell she's trying to get over the falling.

"Geez, that's the fifth time you've scared me today!" She says, putting her hand over her heart.

"I know! Isn't it fun!" I exclaim and she grins.

"Yeah, I guess it was!" She says and we both start laughing, while adrenaline courses through us.

"So, should we fly around for a while or, should we go to your mirror world?" I ask her, flipping back onto my stomach.

"How about we do both?" She says, letting go of me. She doesn't fall far before she turns into a tiny sparrow. I float in the air, laughing as she does loopty loops around me, her pink and purple eyes the only thing different from an actual sparrow.
