What is happening to me? Why are my hands sweating and why am I so happy?
"Yes! I'm an imposter!" Ammon says, a huge smile on his face.
"Dude, you're not supposed to tell people you're an imposter!" I say.
"Are you gonna sell me out?" Ammon asks, teasing me, and my face goes red.
"N-no." I stutter.
"Well good, then I'm safe."
"What are you too doing?" Alina says, raising an eyebrow when she realizes we're on the loveseat.
"Playing Among Us, what about you guys?" Ammon says casually.
"We were just taking a walk in the garden and talking." AV says, and I sit there, listening for Ammon's next words.
"Oh, just taking a walk? Just talking, I have a sneaking suspicion that there was some making out going on."
"What! You know that is none of your business, just like it wouldn't be mine if you too were dating." Alina says backing up AV in this playful argument. My face turns red and so does Ammon's.
"Oh, are you guys dating, Alina, they so are!" I blush to the point where I feel like my cheeks will burn off.
"No, we aren't, we're just friends. Even if we were though- ok, I get your point." I say, defeated. Ammon looks at me and I look back, both of us blushing non-stop. I wait until Alina and AV walk out before I say anything.
"I kinda knew." I say, unsure of what exactly to say.
"You did!" Ammon says, surprised.
"Yeah, I did."
"How?"
"Hm, blushing all the time, fiddling with your fingers and teasing me. Pretty standard 'I like you' stuff."
"Wow, didn't know it was that obvious." He says, fidgeting a bit, embarrassed.
"Yeah, I'm surprised you didn't see that I liked you back." I say casually, taking out a pack of M&Ms.
"You what!" He says, and I laugh.
"I like you back, I mean, if you don't like me it's fine~" Teasing him.
"I do!"
"Mkay."
"What?" He asks, looking so confused.
"Nothin, just teasing." I say and he blushes deeper. So much I can see the red peeking out from his usual chocolate brown.
"So, does that mean we are, ya know~"
"Yeah." Ammon chuckles.
"Alright, how about we play more Among Us?"
❃ ❃ ❃
We spend an hour or two playing Among Us and some other games, before it's time to sleep. The dome has a sunroof, made of a transparent succulent, that opens up once night hits. We all go outside and look at the stars, and, wait a minute. Is that the Northern Lights?
"Alina, where exactly are we?" I ask.
"I believe we're in Alaska." She replies, starstruck by the Lights.
"Wow!" AV says, staring at the lights. Alina looks at her, obviously in love. Deep in love, like the kind of look that grandparents give each other, or the kind that a dog or cat gives you. The look of unconditional love.
"Princess, would you like to see them up close?" Alina asks her, AV smilingly delightedly at her new nickname.
"Yes!" She says, excited.
"Alright, let's go!" Alina says, holding out her hand to AV and AV takes it. They fly up into the air and become another speck of light in the sky. Wait, how are they lit up?
"Um, Ammon, do you know why they're lit up in the sky?" I ask him, watching the dot representing the couple.
"I have no idea." He says, now looking at the light. All of a sudden Alina and AV come through a portal next to us. It closes as fast as it opened.
"I'm gonna go slow that thing down." Alina says, pointing up at the dot that has turned softball size.
"I'll come with you." AV says, but Alina shakes her head.
"I'll be back, it'll only take a minute. Hold down the fort for me, won't you?" Alina asks, caressing AV's face in her hands.
"Alright, be careful!" AV says as Alina floats on into the air.
"I will, Princess!" Soon Alina becomes a dark dot against the increasing light from what looks now to be an enormous meteor, the size of a beach ball, a very big one. Slowly, the light gets dimmer, and then it vanishes. A pretty alive looking Alina lands softly next to us. The only way you would have known that she had been near fire, is that her clothes are smoldering.
"How did you not get burned?" AV asks, inspecting Alina's arms to see if there are any burn marks.
"Magic!" Alina says, motioning like her hands are sparkles that are slowly falling.
"Yeah, ok." AV says, rolling her eyes in amusement.
"What, you don't believe me! You're so mean." Alina says, fake pouting and turning away from AV, and they both burst out laughing. Ammon and I just look from them to the sky like, WFF. Wa fu fu?
"How do they just brush that off?" I whisper to Ammon.
"I have no idea, they're crazy!" He replies, drawing out the crazy part.
"I mean, being crazy is fun, right?" I say, and we both laugh.
"I think I'm just gonna lay down." Ammon says, stretching and then laying down on the ground. I sit down next to him staring at the sky.
