It had been 2 weeks since you had officially broken up with Thomas. You wouldn't exactly say things were better than before, but they were definitely easier.
You didn't feel like you had this constant pressure and weight upon you, not that Thomas ever really stressed you out, but just the idea of being with someone in general kind of did.
You wished you had realized you weren't ready for a relationship before you spent basically 2 months of your life devoted to one.
Things with Weston weren't exactly the best, to top things off.
After the time you guys hung out after the party, Weston was kind of weird toward you, you think it was because of the shame he felt for breaking you and Thomas up, though it was nobody's fault but your own. You could be wrong though, you and Weston hadn't talked for like 2 months so there was no telling what his love life was like.
He had come over two times after that night and strictly for the same reason you guys always hung out. Except he never stayed the night, he would always leave right after you guys were finished. At the most, he might stay for about 20 minutes just to make sure that everything was okay with you.
Tonight, Weston was coming over again. You wanted to talk to him about his life and kind of catch up on each other, not just each other's bodies. You weren't sure how to introduce the conversation. The last time you guys had a deep talk it all stemmed from anger, but now you weren't angry, so how were you supposed to just create a vulnerable space without being awkward about it?
The time was 6:00 p.m.
Weston was scheduled to arrive at about 8:45, leaving you with, basically, an hour and a half of time to get yourself prepared and think about what you were going to say to him.
You never really dressed up much for Weston, not because you didn't want him to think you looked nice or anything, but it was more about the fact that your clothes didn't really stay for as long as they were off.
Tonight you decided to wear just some sweatpants and a comfortable, yet slightly cropped, tank top. You put your hair up in a ponytail pulling out some face-framing pieces and called it good.
You sat on your couch and looked for something to watch, when you found nothing that intrigued you, you stuck to scrolling through TikTok. You didn't really do much when you were alone, you enjoyed drawing and painting and watching movies, but you could only do so much of that to the point where you found yourself scrolling through your phone hours on hours throughout the day.
You didn't mind though.
Weston Koury arrived at roughly about 8:40.
You heard the door open and looked behind you to see Weston standing there in a sweater and some jeans, his typical outfit. The sweater was one that he wore a lot and that you personally loved on him.
"Hellooo." You called out to him from the couch.
"Hey, What's up?" He asked
"Nothing much, I've literally just been sitting here." You weren't lying.
"Ah, productive, I see." He laughed a bit. Weston was the type of person who hated just relaxing, if he wasn't doing something then he needed to find something to do, whether that be pick up a new hobby or even just take a walk outside.
"Very. Sorry not everyone can have as much energy as you." You joked back.
"You look very pretty tonight, how do you look so good when you're not even trying." You could feel the heat forming in your cheeks as you tried to hide back a smile from his compliment. He moved your hair off of your shoulder and began pressing kisses on your neck. You couldn't help but enjoy the feeling, who wouldn't? but you knew you wanted to talk to him before you guys did anything. You pushed him away a little bit and he stopped.
