It was about 10:30 p.m.

You and Thomas had been at this party for about an hour and it was already packed. There were a bunch of people sitting on the couch and smoking what you assumed was weed and just chatting. There were people dancing throughout the kitchen and the dining area and a bunch of people who had already decided it was time for a hookup.

You and Thomas were dancing to some pop song that was blasting through the speakers. Thomas was holding your hips as both of you were swaying to the music.

Most parties that you had ever attended were always like 15+ people packed into a basement with low music while you guys talked and drank. That was until you met Thomas.

You never considered yourself a party animal, but if Thomas was inviting you to a party, you knew to expect the best. You always would end up taking an Uber home because of the amount you had to drink. You would wake up in the morning with a massive headache and horror stories told about you by Thomas.

You wondered how your passenger rating on Uber wasn't low, based on the things he had told you.

This was definitely one of the biggest parties you had ever seen though, there were a constant amount of people who would come up to you and Thomas to greet you with a "Hi" and then leave and you wouldn't see them again because of the constant rotation of people.

You were pretty buzzed already, you had not too much to drink but enough to know that you wouldn't be able to drive if your life depended on it.

As you let the music literally take you away to a new universe you heard Thomas whisper in your ear.

"I'm going to go check up on Mark, I haven't gotten to talk to him. Do you wanna head over with me?" As interesting as it sounded, you were really having a great time dancing in the kitchen.

"No, I'm alright, I don't want you to have to bring me everywhere with you." You protested, He shrugged back at you and went over to find Mark in the sea of people that had accumulated in the living room.

You poured yourself a shot, you knew that you shouldn't. You were already holding a pretty steady pace, but you never casually drank, so you figured getting blackout drunk once a month wasn't too bad for your health, maybe?

You took the shot and felt the warmth spread through your body, usually, you'd need a chaser, but at this point, alcohol was starting to taste like water. As you walked away from the table, you felt the effects take onto your body, you started to stumble a bit as you walked, but you convinced yourself that you weren't that drunk.

"Hey, y/n?" You heard a way too familiar voice behind you. You turned around to see who it was.

Weston. You were trying to convince yourself that it wasn't really true, that your eyes were playing tricks on you, but he stood in front of you with the same confused look on his face.

"Weston? What're you doing here?" This wasn't his normal scene, there were no influencers here, at least from what you could tell.

"I know Mark... Kalynn and I met him a while back. He invited us here tonight." You were shocked, it was all connecting now, how Thomas ran into Kalynn and they had enough time to get to the topic of you.

You turned around and started walking away from him, you weren't going to deal with this... Not tonight. Not when you weren't sober.

"y/n." Weston called out to you. You pretended not to hear him. You walked back to the table and poured yourself another shot, if Weston was going to be here, then you were going to try everything in your power to not be there mentally. You felt Weston behind you.

He grabbed a shot glass and poured one for himself.

"Cheers." He said. You rolled your eyes yet took the shot with him.

"So I see that you have a new boyfriend, are you here with him?" You knew that he knew that you were there with him. You could tell by the way he asked.

"Why? Does it matter to you or something?" You shot back.

"No, just genuinely wondering." He shrugged.

"Yes. I'm here with him. I'm going to go find him now. Bye, Weston." You walked away trying everything in your effort to get away from him, find your boyfriend, and leave.

You walked into the living room where you had last seen him, but couldn't find him or Mark. You decided to head back to the dining area to check over there.

"y/n!" You heard Weston call for you, again.

You turned around to see Weston behind you.

"Weston, what do you want? Can you seriously just leave me alone?" You didn't want to see him, after you left him 2 months ago you were hurt, but you were at a point in your life now where you were fine with never seeing or hearing about him ever again.

"Fine. If you want it that way." He turned around and emerged himself into some crowd of people talking. You were furious. Your night that was supposed to be fun and easygoing was now ruined by the presence of someone that you thought you'd never have to see again.

After a couple of minutes searching for Thomas, you found yourself back at the drink table. Instead of ruining your body with another shot, you decided to make yourself a mixed drink that had enough alcohol for 2 shots, but because you could sip on it throughout the night, you figured that you'd be okay.

That was until you decided to chug the whole thing.
