After your long day with Kalynn, she dropped you off at home.
You had texted Weston to tell him that you weren't coming back and that you'd probably just head home because you were tired and wanted to get some work done. He had asked if you wanted him to come over but you kind of wanted to be alone for a little bit as you felt a little overwhelmed from the past couple of days.
Not to mention, you had Thomas on the brain.
It's not like you were thinking of talking to him again, that was the furthest from what you wanted... But, you spent 2 months of your life with him and you two had grown really close so you couldn't really blame yourself for thinking about where he was and what he was doing. He had blocked you on everything and you obstained from checking his accounts through the other accounts you had that he didn't know about.
You liked Weston, you really did.
Sometimes your thoughts would just wander to how your relationship would be with Thomas right now if you had never done what you did.
You figured it would be better if you thought about it in a negative way. As if you two had stayed together, then it would've ended up badly anyway.
It's not like you could talk about it with Weston... and talking about it to Kalynn seemed too soon and off-putting. So you figured you'd get out your sketchpad and draw a bit while you allowed the thoughts to simmer down.
You wondered if he had a new girlfriend, or if he was talking to anybody, or maybe if he had moved away and started a whole different life that you had no idea existed... The last thought was a bit of a stretch, but you allowed your mind to wander in any direction to get all your thoughts out.
He hadn't really posted much since you two had broken up. He had posted some stories and some pictures of himself just hanging out and going out to parties. Something you really liked about Thomas was that he was always willing to bring you to a party and show you off to all of his friends. You weren't typically the type of girlfriend who liked to be presented as a trophy, but when Thomas did it, it always made you feel loved.
With Weston on the other hand...
Weston was a fairly private person, and you couldn't blame him... He had a lot of friends and followers and one little mention of hanging out with a girl and everyone would assume that they were together. You understood why, but you missed actually going out and doing things.
You and Weston would always stay in, and if you weren't staying in, you were getting coffee and then going back to either his place or your place. It's not that Weston was a big party person anyway. You were surprised he was even at that party when you had gone with Thomas.
Which made you wonder if he knew that you would be there.
You tried to stray away from the thought that he had intentionally shown up just to sabotage your feelings for Thomas, but then you remembered what he had said to you that night and how reluctant he was to actually do anything with you.
You pulled out your phone and against your will texted Weston.
You
hey... why did u go to mark's party that night?
You watched as the typing bubbles showed up and disappeared about 3 times before your phone lit up with a phone call from Weston. You reluctantly answered
"hello?" you said shyly.
"What are you accusing me of?" Weston didn't sound mad, but he definitely sounded concerned which only fed your suspicion a little bit more.
"I'm not accusing you of anything, Weston. It was just a question." You defended yourself, though technically you were kind of accusing him of something, you were truly just trying to ask in a light-hearted way.
"What? You think I showed up because I knew you were going to be there? Is that it?" Weston got angrier with every word he spoke. You stayed silent trying to think of the next thing to say.
"You know what, y/n? Everything isn't about you, alright? I literally didn't even know you were going to be there. It was you who was all over me when you had a boyfriend? Remember?" Weston spoke. The words stung but he was right. It was all you, but you weren't about to just submit to his every word.
"Actually, I remember it was you who wouldn't leave me alone that night." You snapped back. It was true, you wanted nothing more than for him to just leave you alone that night. Until you saw him talking to that girl.
"Sue me for wanting to talk to an old friend." Weston said. The use of the word friend stung too. Especially because of the emphasis he put on it. You weren't sure where all this anger came from. You had just asked a simple question and wanted to know why Weston was at some random non-influencer party as, you couldn't deny, it was a little suspicious.
"Weston, I really don't have the time to fight about this. I just asked a simple question and you're beyond defensive right now." You said before hanging up the phone.
It's almost like every time things were going great for you and Weston it somehow got fucked up whether it was your doing or his own. You were past done with it.
You wanted him in your life, but also his presence was becoming intoxicating.

A/N:
Short little chapter to let you guys know that I'm still alive and still writing. My summer courses have just started and I've been a little busy working on that. Hopefully, I can get a longer and more eventful chapter out tonight. I have a lot of ideas brewing.
I told y'all that this would be a slow burn.
I'm sorry if it feels a bit redundant though, I'm trying to work through that.
