You woke up and Weston was already awake on his phone.

"Well, good morning." He said as you rolled over trying to get the sun out of your eyes. You felt really tired, probably because of the fact that you and Weston had been up late last night. You pulled out your phone from under your pillow and checked the time.

9:30 a.m.

It was a little later than you liked to wake up, but it's not like you had anywhere to be. You always hated waking up after Weston because you knew that you were not the most attractive sleeper. You were always worried that he'd hear you say something in your sleep about him.

"Are we still getting coffee with Kalynn today?" You asked. All of you last night was filled with excitement about the fact that you'd be hanging out with Kalynn again, but now you had this hole in your stomach filled with this feeling of nervousness. You hadn't spoken to her in a long time and you weren't sure how to act normal while also catching up on the pieces of her life that you'd missed out on.

"As far as I know. Here, let me text her." Weston pulled out his phone and began to type something to Kalynn. Part of you was hoping she'd have plans, but you know you'd be pretty upset if she ended up being unable to come.

"She said she's still down but she needs like 30 minutes to get outta bed and get ready." You hopped out of bed and began getting ready too, you wanted to make sure you looked fairly presentable.

You put on a pair of leggings and a sweatshirt. You brushed through your hair and loosely put it up. You watched Weston get up and look at himself in the mirror. You thought maybe he'd throw something on, but instead, he just sat at the end of his bed in a t-shirt and sweatpants.

You heard a knock at the door and you knew that it had to be Kalynn. Your heart was pounding a bit as you realized you'd actually have to interact with her.

"come in!" Weston yelled.

The doorknob turned a bit and Kalynn entered the room. She was wearing a yellow shirt and a pair of high-waisted pants.

"Hi" you spoke a bit quietly, she waved at you. You thought about how bad this looked. You had slept over in Weston's bed. The thought of you telling Kalynn that nothing would change between you two kept replaying in your mind.

"Where do you guys want to go? Starbucks?" Kalynn asked. You were glad she wasn't just looking at Weston but also letting you know that your opinion was valid.

"Yeah, I don't mind." You shrugged a bit. You were feeling a bit better now. You could sense that there was no weirdness with Kalynn. You kind of envied her ability to show a lack of concern about your situation.

"y/n, please sit shotgun, I can't stand to have Weston in the front if I don't have to." You laughed a bit at Kalynn's concern. She flashed a smile back at you.

"You got it."

A while passed and you were sitting in the car playing some random songs at a low volume. You guys had already gotten your coffee and were just chatting a little bit. Every now and then you'd look over at Kalynn and be surrounded by a sense of happiness that you were finally able to joke with her again. Weston was a little quiet in the back and was just on his phone, but you barely noticed.

"Have you been working on your art?" Kalynn asked you. You were happy that it was something she remembered.

"Yeah, a little bit. I think I've gotten better at some things, but there's always that lack of motivation that I can't get myself to push through."

"That's good though. You were always so good at it." She complimented you.

"Thank you." You replied back shyly. You hated talking about your art because you didn't want to seem pretentious by knowing how good you were, but you also didn't want to seem like you were blinded to how good it was.

"Well, we're here." Kalynn pulled into the parking garage. You weren't sure if Weston would want you to go home or what you were supposed to do.

"I should probably get going." You chimed in grabbing your bag from in between your feet. Neither Weston nor Kalynn objected so you figured it was the right decision.

"It was nice to see you again." Kalynn said with a smile and you flashed a smile back and returned the statement.

"Bye y/n, I'll text you later." Weston shouted from the back. You kind of forgot he was there, but you said bye to him as well and got into your car.

A/N.

I am terribly sorry that I have not updated this story since May 10th. Omg. I've been super busy. My friend just got back from school and my schooling just ended so between that and finals, I didn't have a lot of time to write. Thank you though for all the votes and comments while I was on this short hiatus. I know this is more of a filler chapter and I don't plan on developing the reader and Kalynn's relationship that much, but I want their friendship to be a happy one again! More Weston content coming up either tonight or tomorrow, stick with me!
