Mckynna was released later that week. She had to get IV antibiotics because the appendix had ruptured. Marshall had brought the boys up every single day to see her. Matthew and Myles were struggling a bit without her home. The three of them had never really been apart.
Madelyn drove her daughter home. Marshall was picking all of the boys up from school. She was ready to be back home with her brother's. They were ready to have her home. Madelyn opened the house and got her daughter settled in the living room. Mckynna was healing quite well but was still milking it for all it was worth.
"Mama," she said.
"What baby?" Madelyn asked.
"When can I go back to school?"
"Next week baby girl,"
She nodded. Madelyn went to get started on dinner. Marshall came home with the boys. They all went into the living room and piled around their sister. The other two of the triplets were the closest to her. They all sat around watching whatever Mckynna wanted to watch. Ella came over to check on her as well.
"Mom, what's for dinner," Maverick asked.
"Spaghetti." Madelyn said.
"Oh,"
"It was your sister's request."
He nodded. He walked out of the kitchen to go talk to Ella. The whole family liked Ella. Marshall came into the kitchen to sit with his wife. She looked back at him.
"What's up?" she asked.
"Nothing, was just thinking," he said.
"What are you thinking?"
"Do I need to talk Mave again about safe sex?"
Madelyn turned and looked at him. He was staring at her.
"It couldn't hurt but I don't think we have to worry about him. He isn't trying to have any kids anytime soon. I thought that was why he was babysitting for Alaina." she said.
"It is but accidents happen," Marshall said.
Madelyn nodded. The idea that her son would make her a grandmother almost made her sick to her stomach. She stared at her Marshall for a moment. He sighed heavily. He was going to wait until Ella went home to have a talk with his son. He was going to talk to Malakai as well.
"Marshall," Madelyn said.
"What?" he asked.
"You have been giving him condoms right?"
"He has them and he knows where to get more."
They were upfront with their kids about sex. Marshall wasn't going to have his boys become father's young if he could help it. Madelyn got everyone to the table to eat dinner. Ella joined them.
After Ella left, Marshall called both of his older boys into the living room. Madelyn was dealing with the triplets upstairs. Maverick and Malakai sat on the couch, thinking they were in trouble for something.
"We need to have a talk boys," Marshall said.
"Whatever it is, I didn't do it," Malakai spoke up quickly.
Marshall laughed as he looked at his 13 year old.
"Well that's good to know son," he said.
"What's up dad?" Maverick asked.
"Well, I want to make sure that we are all on the same page when it comes to sex. I want you two both to be protected and I don't want any grandbabies any time soon."
Malakai looked completely horrified that his father was having this conversation. Maverick just rolled his eyes at him. Marshall sighed.
"I mean it. You are two young to have kids. You have your entire lives ahead of you and not that kids aren't a blessing but you have so much to do before you get there. I want the best for you both as does your mom." he said.
"Dad, I'm not having sex with Ella," Maverick said. "And you are traumatizing Malakai right now with all of this."
"I would rather traumatize you both than you come home and tell me that you have a baby on the way."
Maverick rolled his eyes again.
"I'm not having this conversation." he said, getting up from the couch.
"Dad, girls don't even like me right now," Malakai said.
"Well I just want you to know you can come to me about everything. I also need you to be safe so I want you to come to me if you need condoms." Marshall said.
Maverick had already left the room. Marshall sighed. He got up to go find his oldest son. The boy was in his room already in his phone.
"Mave," he said.
The fifteen year old shook his head.
"Maverick Blaze," Marshall said.
"Ella and I aren't sleeping together, dad. I promise. We are taking it slow. The problem is Analise,"
"What do you mean?"
"She called yesterday to tell me that she's pregnant."
"Maverick."
"I don't think it's mine. I think it's Jamison's and she just wants to pin it on me because of you and because Jamison doesn't want anything to do with it."
Marshall stood in the doorway staring at his oldest son.
"How does Ella feel about it all?" he asked.
"That's why she wants to take it slow. I told Ana that I want a test to prove the father of the baby." Maverick said.
"Why wouldn't you come tell us about this?"
"I just found out yesterday and I have been struggling with it all."
"Mave, that's why mom and I are here. We are here to help you with the struggle."
Maverick nodded as he looked at his dad. He was terrified about what his mother would think about all of this. He didn't want to disappoint her with everything. Marshall sighed.
"I'll talk to your mother," he said.
"Yeah?" Maverick asked.
"Yeah bud, I got it. We will have a paternity test done as soon as the baby is born and we will handle it all from there. I will call the lawyer as well. Do Ana's parents know what's going on?"
"I don't know."
"All right."
Marshall left his son along with his thoughts. He was going to have to go deal with his wife about everything. Madelyn was in their bedroom. Marshall was worried about how his wife was going to take this news. She always wanted the best for their children.
