Scene 1:

It's May. Today is the prom. It is also the day where Catrina will finally get to see Gerard for the first time, after the surgery. As for Corey, he hasn't spoken to Nicola again. They've been avoiding each other at school. Right now, Corey and Catrina just woke up, ahead of everyone else in the house, and are now having breakfast.

Corey: So, you're gonna see Gerard for the first time. How are you feeling?

Catrina: Terrified.

Corey: Understandable... Poor guy.

Catrina: I know. He'll never live a normal life again.

Corey: ... Who knows, maybe he still has a chance

Catrina: No, he doesn't. The surgery did too much damage to his brain. He doesn't remember anything. Not even the English language.

Corey: Actually, I did some research on this Glythopleniosis thing, and it turns out it only destroys 95% of his memories, meaning sometimes people can sort of comunicate in broken English.

Catrina: ... Did you also emulate what's going to happen on the Predictator?

Corey: No. I couldn't.

Catrina: Me neither. I'm too scared to see what it's gonna be like.

Corey: Hey... Whatever the outcome is, I'm here for you. Every battle we go through, we do it together.

Catrina: I know. You've been the best brother. And the rest of the family has also been impeccable with me, in this situation.

Corey: If it makes you feel any better, you're not the only one not going to prom tonight.

Catrina: Meh... You don't have to not go, for solidarity.

Corey: That's not why I'm not going, and you know that.

Catrina: So you're telling me you're not even gonna try, and talk to Nicola?

Corey: Why would I do that? She said it was too weird. She made her choice.

Catrina: But she's leaving to L.A. tomorrow. You should think about it, at least.

[Eddie, Linda, Sam, and Stewart come to the table, to have breakfast. But they all comfort Catrina first]

Linda: So, honey, ready to finally see Gerard?

Catrina: No, but I have to. No matter how much it scares me.

Eddie: Good luck.

Catrina: Thank you guys.

[Catrina finishes her breakfast]

Catrina: I guess it's time to go. Bye guys.

Everyone: Bye, good luck. We love you.

[Catrina leaves]

Linda: Poor girl. Can you believe what she's going through?

Eddie: I can't even imagine what's going through her mind right now.

[They have breakfast silently for a few minutes. Then, eventually, someone breaks the silence]

Sam: By the way, Justin and I broke up.

Linda: Oh, honey.

Sam: It's okay.

Stewart: You need me to go over there, and kick his ass, fuggin?

Sam: What? No. Don't get all tough brother, and overprotective.

Eddie: I was gonna offer to do that, but good job, Stewart.
