Crashing Down To You

I crashed my ship into the ground. I had escaped the Jedi purge, but I didn't know where I was. I had run out of fuel and my other supplies. It had been a week in lightspeed and I finally exited it and crashed into a barren planet. All the trees were dead. The grass wasn't really green as all. I grabbed my lightsaber, hooked it to my belt, and ran off looking for food and water. I felt the Force and my other jedi masters guiding me through the place. Where to go, what to do. I soon came across an abandoned mini house with wheels. I didn't know what it was for but went inside and found plenty of food and water. The food was wierd and the water was also in a weird bottle. But I didn't care and drank and ate it while saving some for later. I wandered around a bit, lost. I had plenty of devices. I marked my ship's location on her map and had a shockwave interface I could use for many purposes. I got some shockwaves and followed them to a police station where soldiers were shooting some strange blasters at crazy wrinkled humans. One immediately charged at me and I ignited my lightsaber, cutting its arm off. It was surprisingly still alive and I cut it in half from its middle. I helped the soldiers fight off the rest of the enemies and finally they were all dead.

"I appreciate your help, civilian. But state your business here." One of the soldiers had some big bulky metal armor. He ignored my lightsaber at the moment of which he looked at it confusingly.

"Just trying to survive and figure out what happened here." I said, looking around.

"You do seem quite new around here. Where are you from? Any local settlements?" He asked.

"I'm from Tatooine." I answered. "What were those things?" I asked, pointing at a dead one.

"Those are ghouls... irradiated humans. Many years ago there was a war that ended in the bombing of the world. I haven't heard of Tatooine yet. Where is it?"

"I don't know where it is because I don't know where I am. I'm assuming you're meaning that these 'bombs' are radiation bombs... " I said.

"Yes. If I seem suspicious, it's because me and my squad have been under fire ever since we've arrived here in the Commonwealth." The soldier said. "We've been trying to connect with my superiors but we have had no luck."

"Sir, if I may." another soldier said.

"Proceed Haylen." The other soldier said.

"I could modify the radio tower to submit long range messages. We just need the right part."

"Then our next target is Arcjet Systems. So, civilian, are you ready to lend the Brotherhood of Steel a hand?"

"What's the Brotherhood of Steel?" I asked.

"We are an army. Dedicated to wipe out all the abominations from the world. We keep technology out of the wrong hands... so, will you help us?"

"I need to think it over real quick. Excuse me." I said, wanting to use the Force for this choice. I walked away to a private area and meditated. The Force told me to do what I felt was right and that I will know when I need to stop. I went back to where the Brotherhood soldiers were waiting and saw they were inside. "Alright. I'll help you." I said, walking inside.

"Outstanding. By the way, I'm Paladin Danse, over there is Knight Rhys, and as you've heard, this is Scribe Haylen." He said, nodding to each of the people.

"I'm Maggie." I said, feeling it alright to say my name to them. "Are we ready?"

"Absolutely. Follow me... and try not to lag behind." Paladin Danse said. He put on a helmet that fit onto his suit of armor. I followed him all the way to Arcjet Systems and we stopped by the entrance. "Alright. We do this swiftly and quietly. No heroics, by the book. Do you understand? And please say you have a weapon more than whatever you have."

"This is the only weapon a- I can wield. I'm fine." I said, rubbing the hilt of my lightsaber.

"Alright, suit yourself. Let's go."
