The Disturbance

I felt a disturbance a few minutes afterwards. I used the force to know what it was. The Cambridge police station was being attacked. I rushed to the Brotherhood soldiers and I saw raiders shooting the place up. Danse was in his armor, Rhys had some other bulky armor that at least wasn't big and heavy, and Scribe Haylen was still inside as I sensed. I pulled out my lightsaber and ignited it. The raiders immediately attacked me and I swung my lightsaber at them. I used the force on those far away. I was busy finishing off one raider when I sensed Rhys in danger. I turned towards him and one was aiming for head head with a strong melee weapon. I force pulled the raider towards me and away from Rhys just as he was going to turn towards the raider. The raider stumbled towards me and his knife caught me in the stomach. I cried out in pain and my lightsaber dropped to the ground. I dodged the raider as he tried to swipe at me then I force pulled my lightsaber into my hand then I killed him off. I stumbled as my stomach hurt. "Don't worry, you'll be alright" Danse called out to Haylen. "Haylen, bring a stimpak." Haylen rushed out and tended to my wound.

Rhys stared at the dead raider that could've killed him. "Why did you do that?" He asked.

"I didn't want you to die. It is a jedi's duty to protect people. Do good in the universe." I said. Haylen pulled out some sort of shot. "Don't worry. It's a stimpak. It will heal you." She injected it and I felt better in seconds.

"Thanks," I said. We went inside and I got a new tunic out of my bag. This time it was gray instead of white as the first one was. I threw out the white one and put on the other one, walking out to where Danse was.

"Thank you for coming. We could've lost one of our good soldiers if you hadn't come." Danse smiled.

"It was nothing." I said. I still tensed in pain but it wasn't as bad as at first. I inspected my lightsaber and there were only a couple of scratches from it falling on pavement.

"I could fix that." Danse said.

"You wouldn't have the parts, probably." I said. I then remembered my ship. "I - I need to get back to my ship. See if it's ok and inspect for repairs." I said.

"Are you going to leave already?"

"I can't. The hyperdrive that makes me go to lightspeed is busted out for being in it for so long. I need some major repairs for it since I can't get a new one from here." I said.

"You aren't going out there right now with your injuries. I can go with you tomorrow." Danse smiled.

"No, I can go alone. Haylen and Rhys need you here."

"They're fine. We're going to set up some defenses tonight. We found some supplies for some." Danse said.

"Alright." I yawned. "I'm going to my room." I said. I walked to my room and sat down on my bed. I looked through my bag and saw my old preserved padawan braid. I remembered my old master. I wondered if he was still alive after the purge. He was Jedi Master Grand. I remembered his words about hope and laid back on the bed, falling asleep. I dreamt again about the future apprentice when I woke up when I saw him as a sith. I sensed the others were still sleeping and I got up to meditate... for I needed to get calm. After a couple of minutes, I went back from my subconsciousness and looked at my displayed holocron. I decided to go back to sleep, risking my dreams again. I woke up the next day and went to the other room.

"I'm sorry for the way I've been acting to you..." Rhys said.

"It's fine." I responded, eating my breakfast. "Anything new lately?" I asked.

"No, nothing." Danse said. "Just the usual... let me know when you're ready to go."

"Alright." I said. I cleaned up my plate and decided on a plan. I should come back to the Railroad soon or they'd think I ran away with the "prototype" but I couldn't wait too long to get to my ship. "Let's go now."

"Be safe, sir." Rhys said.
