Maxson's Confrontation

"Knight! How dare you betray the Brotherhood!" Elder Maxson came out of a landed vertibird.

"I did it anyway!" I said. "I found a way to the Institute! There are innocent people there! I can sense it. There is still good left in them!"

"I don't care if you somehow sensed it or not!" He yelled. He advanced towards me. "The Institute is evil. They made the synths of which were never meant to exist!"

"Synths are equal." I said. "Just like droids are equal."

"What a petty sympathizer!" He yelled then paused at droids. "I don't know where you are from, but I demand answers!"

I became quiet. I couldn't tell him... I hope I didn't need to use another jedi mind trick. I hated using them but it was the only way I could get out of some things.

"Well?" Maxson asked impatiently.

"She's from another Galaxy." Danse said from behind me.

"Impossible! She's human! Tell the truth Danse!"

"It's the truth. That's her ship there." Danse said, pointing at my ship. "One of the many technologies she has."

"So you've hidden these things from the Brotherhood!" He said. "Danse, I demand you to kill this traitor."

Danse paused. I sensed that he didn't want to. He loved me, I didn't love him. "Elder, she has technologies we couldn't know much about. I say keep her alive."

"It's an order, Danse!" He yelled.

"If you want to know the truth, then fine." Danse said. "Maggie, tell him." He nodded.

"I-" I sighed. "I healed him on the Virgil mission." I said.

"You certainly have your medical skills." Maxson said, impressed.

"It's not medical skills. I'm a jedi. I have this power I can harness called the Force." I explained.

"She's technically an alien." Danse added.

"I am quite discouraged that you've never told me this before." Maxon said. "Is there anything else?"

"This soldier said she sensed that I was... '' Danse hesitated. "a synth."

"WHAT?! YOU TRAITOR!" Maxons roared. "You've been working with them this whole time?!"

"No. I didn't know, Maxson." Danse said.

"You liar! You're a single bomb in an arsenal. Never allowed to exist! Flesh is Flesh! Machine is Machine! The two were never meant to intertwine!"

"Maxson, you are the Dark Side." I said. "The Brotherhood is the Empire."

"I will kill you both!" He said, signalling to the pilots of the vertibirds. There were other soldier escorts with him. I gulped nervously, knowing this will only end in a fight and conflict.

"Don't do it Maxson... You know how this could end..." I said, feeling the Force flow through me. " but I will do what I must."
