I woke up the next day and told Faramir to stay put at the station. I hopped into my ship and took off southwest. I landed on the ground outside Virgil's cave and rushed in. This time, I was wearing another white tunic. It was a little heavier than the thin ones but I didn't mind.
"So, you're back. You have the chip decoded?" Virgil asked. I didn't bother dodging the can chimes this time.
"Yes." I said, handing him the code.
"Wow. How did you decode it?"
"I did it myself." I said. "What's next?"
"Yourself, huh? Maybe you should join the Institute." He said, chuckling. "Alright. I wasn't the only one who was busy. The Institute uses teleportation to get in and out. This chip and these plans will get you into the Institute." He said, handing me some poorly scrawled out plans. "It'll unmaterialize you in one place, rematerialize you in another."
"Thank you Virgil." I said, walking out of the cave. I flew back to Red Rocket and started reading the plans. I used the Force to find the things I needed to build the molecular relay as Virgil called it. It took a few days to get it finished and powered up. Once I was finished, I was admiring the work when I sensed someone coming.
"So, you're going into the Institute without telling anyone?" Deacon walked up to me.
"What are you doing here, Deacon?" I asked.
"Des wants to see you about going into the Institute. You've hurt our relationships, you know."
"I'm sorry. But I have to do this myself." I said. I used the force to quickly get advice. My master said to go with them. I sighed. "Alright." I followed Deacon back to HQ.
"So, you were about to go into the Institute without us knowing?" Desdemona asked. "We'd like you to do something as you're there. Top secret, so I need you to keep quiet about it. There's an inside man in the Institute who is the one who is teleporting synths out and letting us save them." She said. "Take this holotape. It has a special message on it for this man. His code name we gave him is Patriot." She handed me a weird orange and white disc and I took it. "Load it up into any terminal in the Institute and Patriot should be the only one who gets it. Good luck, Agen."
"So, now that this is taken care of," Deacon started. "Time to infiltrate the Institute."
"Yes..." I said.
"Are you doing this with the Brotherhood?" He asked.
"No." I said. "I left them." I started towards the exit but Deacon stopped me.
"You know, you're very mysterious and... brave, you know that?"
"I know that I have to go, now." I smirked.
"Alright. be safe."
