"You! On the balcony! I don't know wha- who you are. The raiders are almost through the door though, help us, please!" A man pleaded. "Pick up that laser musket. Be ready!"

Another gun. I didn't need it but if the man wanted it... I went into the building after I picked up the laser musket and a few fusion cells nearby. I fought off all the raiders and went to where the people were locked up.

"Wow. I don't know who you are, but I'm glad you are here." an african said, walking up to me. There were four more people there. One was muttering to himself, hacking a terminal, one was stomping around the room, and another was cowering in the corner, and one more was sitting on a couch.

"Glad to help," I said, hitching my lightsaber.

"Well, we need some more if you're willing." He said. "By the way, Preston Garvey, Commonwealth Minutemen." He said.

"Minutemen?" I asked.

"Protect the People at Minute's notice. We go towards helping people in the Commonwealth." He said. I felt that these Minutemen were the ones I'd really join. I smiled.

"I'm Maggie." I said. "What else do you need?"

"Sturges, tell her the plan."

"Well, there's an old suit of power armor up on the roof with a crashed vertibird. Thing is, it needs power juice. Down in the basement there's a fusion core but it's locked behind security. You can hack a terminal to unlock the door but that's not usually my forte. You could give it a try." Sturges said.

"I don't need power armor." I said.

"Why not? Anyone would want a sweet thing like that." Sturges said.

"I can deal without."

"There's a minigun left from the crashed vertibird... you can only use it with power armor."

"I don't use guns." I said. "What else besides power armor and miniguns?"

"Just fight the rest of the raiders down below." Preston said. "Be careful. I don't know how you could handle without those two things."

I walked to the exit where I can fight the rest of the raiders when the woman on the couch stopped me. "You have some strong power in you. I can see it. I can see your fear of the future. Be careful, kid. There are more than just raiders out there. I can see it. Something crawling up from below. And it's angry. But you trust in something. And slay it like a pro."

I thought about the anger being the dark side. "You saw it?"

"It's the chems. They give me the Sight." She said. "It lets me see your future."

"Chems?"

"It's like alcohol but in many different forms."

"You should be care-"

"Don't worry about me, kid. Now I think there's work to be done." she said.

"How could you refuse power armor and a minigun?!" The one pacing back and forth said. "You'll get us all killed!"

I ignored her. "You alright?" I asked the cowering man.

"Why, why why, why?"

I shrugged and walked out the door to the roof. Once I got there, I saw the power armor and the minigun. I ignored them and force jumped to the raider on the roof across from mine. I killed all the raiders in no time. Once they were all dead, I put my lightsaber away only to have a giant lizard monster climb out of the sewers. I should've sensed it but I didn't. I dodged it as it lunged towards me. I ignited my lightsaber and slashed at its belly, sensing it was its weak spot. It stumbled back as I did so, making an advantage I took. Soon, it laid dead on the ground. I went to report to Preston and he was waiting with the other people on the ground floor.

"You- that was awesome." Preston said. "You did that all without power armor and minigun, right? Now there's something about you." He said. "Here, for all your hard work." He handed a pile of caps. I tried to decline even when I needed some but he refused. "You deserve it." He said. "We're going to Sanctuary next. It'd be nice if you came."

I thought about my ship and decided it was alright to leave it for now. "Alright, Garvey. Lead the way." We went north and passed some giant bugs we had to fight. There was a red rocket gas station we passed by and I knew that was a place for my ship... and a home. I didn't bother to mark it on my map because it was near Sanctuary and I could find my way back. Preston was excited to see the entrance of Sanctuary because of some pre war stuff I didn't know about.

"We're here now. Thanks for coming with us. I don't really need anything else right now. But if you need us, we could help." Preston said. "This place is Sanctuary all right. What do you think? You from here?"

"No. Not even close to here."

"Down south or east then?" He guessed. "Or maybe even west?"

"Uh..." I hesitated. I knew they had to know, but I couldn't. "I guess more... out there." I said. Not exactly a lie.

"Huh. alright." He said, a bit confused. "That weapon and those clothes are cool. Where did you get them?"

"Very special taylors, and I technically made my lightsaber myself." I said.

"Yourself? That thing? Wow. Well I'm going to get settled down here. Ask if you need." With that, he walked away to the main house. I don't usually explore because I always had a mission where I was. I felt that the Minutemen were the only hope for the Commonwealth. I saw that the Railroad only cares about one kind, the Brotherhood looking for power, I wasn't so sure about the Institute, though. The Minutemen, though... they can conquer the Commonwealth and make it a good place. I went back to the Red Rocket station and started cleaning up the place. Soon, it was almost like my dorm in the Jedi Temple. I went back to my ship and flew it back to the station and landed it. There was 80% charge on the board and I was impressed. I went to meditate and regain my strength. I thought about what the woman, Mama Murphy, said. I then saw flashes of my future apprentice. I gasped and came out of my subconsciousness. I looked around. I sensed that someone or something was watching me. I got up and grabbed my lightsaber with the force. I peeked around the corner. Nothing. I then saw movement outside the window. Suddenly, a docile creature came bounding to me.
