Summary: Just when Draco and Harry were getting better, Draco started ghosting him

-----

Harry couldn't take it anymore, not once had Draco looked his way in nearly a month. Of course, no one knew of their newfound friendship but what they managed to form meant the world to Harry, and Draco only tore down what they fought hard to accomplish.

Anytime the brunet would try to talk to the blond, he'd always find a way to disappear. But not this time. Harry will yell at him in the middle of a crowded hallway if it means getting his friend back.

Or possibly someone who could be more...

As soon as students started pouring out of the great hall, Harry quickly joined the crowd heading to the dungeons. Cursing his shortness, Harry tried to look over the many heads to find Draco but it wasn't much use. Luckily, he managed to find him and escape Ron and Hermione to pull him into a nearby, empty classroom.

"Potter what-"

Harry pushed him up against the wall, hands pressed firmly on his chest. He peered into Draco's silvery-blue eyes that shimmered with something that looked like hurt, but Harry couldn't bring himself to care. Not when the boy caused him hurt too.

"Don't 'Potter' me, Draco. You've called me Harry for months. But I want to know why you decided to ignore me for almost a fucking month!" Draco sighed as if Harry was being ridiculous, which only made Harry more pissed.

"Harry, then, we aren't meant to be friends! You and I don't work! We're too different! Why does our friendship even mean that much to you?! Hermione and Ron's friendship might be worth fighting for but not ours! It's not worth it, Harry! Not worth the pain that you know damn well we'll be put through if anymore finds out!" Draco yelled firmly, trying to get his point across clearly.

Harry pushed away from the other male, holding back a sob. "Because I fucking love you, you piece of shit!" The green-eyed boy screamed back, voice thick with emotion and dripping with hurt. One look at Harry's heartbroken face was enough for a stunned Draco to rush forward and gather the boy in a tight, much-needed hug.

Despite wanting nothing more than to melt into Draco's hold, Harry struggled anyway. Though it didn't take long for him to break down, and he cried quietly into the blond's shoulder.

"Please don't ignore me."

Draco pulled back a bit, cupping Harry's cheeks gently and running his thumbs over the boy's soft, red skin to wipe away the remaining tears. He leaned forward and pressed his lips to Harry's. Harry gasped, not expecting it, but reciprocated it nonetheless and moved his lips in sync with Draco's thin soft one's.

Once they pulled away- only when they really really had to- Draco pressed multiple kisses to Harry's jaw before promising to talk later since both of them were extremely late for Potions.

Harry couldn't focus during classes that day, and Hermione and Ron wouldn't stop pestering him about it.

"Alright mate," Ron sighed after Harry just defended rather aggressively whoever was on his mind, saying it wasn't their fault. "I'll take your word for it, it's just unlike you to be so smitten for someone, especially in twenty minutes tops."

Harry opened his mouth to say something but got interrupted by a voice he's been longing to hear since that morning, arms around his waist, and head on his shoulder. Ron blinked, gawking back and forth between them while Hermione leaned back against one of the pillars with a knowing smirk.

Harry was a terrible liar. Especially when it came to Draco.

"Hello," Draco smiled, kissing Harry's cheek softly. Suddenly a female voice came down the hall, said girl running with a large stick in her hand.

"Oh shit," Draco muttered. "Gotta go, Pansy had a bet with Blaise when we'd get together and she lost it since she thought we'd get together tomorrow on Valentine's day and Blaise said before, so she's after me." The boy placed one last kiss on Harry's lips before taking off down the hallway, Pansy hot on his heels.

"YOU COULDN'T WAIT ONE MORE DAY?!" Pansy screeched, her voice fading away.

"Well," said Ron, having got over his shock. "I'll say I'm surprised, but not terribly shocked. It was bound to happen at some point.
