It's been a long and hard couple of months. With you and Ben both being back at work and on completely different schedules, it was difficult to see each other anymore. Either, you were in bed when he came home, or he was in bed when you came home.

Some days, he'd get off early and pick up the kids from nursery school and other days, that would be your job. When you both knew either of you weren't going to be home until late at night, your parents would take the kids until the next day.

Today, you had gotten off earlier than usual. Something happened with the equipment on set and it wouldn't be fixed until late tomorrow, so they just sent everyone home. While you were working, though, things hadn't gone so great. One of the actors kept complaining about the make-up and how there was "too much", or "too little", or is made his face itch, or how he was allergic to that brand.

He was such a diva.

The next thing to happen was when he totally disregarted the fact that you were almost five months pregnant and suggested you see his personal trainor after filming was over for the day. If slapping him wouldn't get you fired, then you'd do it!

Once you explained to him that you were pregnant, he told you, "Oh! I pity single mothers." If only you wouldn't get fired if you kicked him in the balls. "Actually, I'm married," you proudly stated. When you told him who you were married to, he chortled and walked out of the trailer, saying, "Doesn't every woman!"

Needless to say, you weren't the happiest of mothers when you picked up your children from nursery school, nor would you be the happiest of wives if Ben came home tonight.

When you walked into the house, the kids immediately started going nuts. They were screaming and shouting and laughing and running. You already felt a migrane coming on.

"Quiet down, monkies!" That rich, velvet voice playfully scolded. Oh, you actually felt like crying from relief. Ben came out of his office and scooped up the kids, showering them with kisses. After he set them down and watched them run off again, he looked to you and said, "Hello, my beautiful wife." He gave you a light kiss, then went behind you to take off your jacket.

He placed his hands on your shoulders and whispered, "You look tense, love." His long fingers started keading into your shoulders, making you let out a sigh of relief. "Jesus, you really are tense," he said with concern. He turned you around and cupped your face, while staring into your eyes. "Bad day?"

You nodded, and then brought him into a much needed hug. He wrapped his strong arms securly around you and started rubbing your back and kissing your head. "Go upstairs," he whispered in your ear. "I'll be there in a minute."

He let you go and you went up stairs, wiping your tears as you went. You sat at the end of the bed and waited for him, as your mind replayed the pathetic events of today. Ben walked in when you started to get worked up by it and immediately sat down next to you, bringing you into his warm embrace.

"It's alright, darling, it's alright," he told you in a hushed tone. "Do you want to talk about it?" You shook your head into his chest. If you did, you'd just get upset. "Alright," he told you, "but you tell me whenever you feel you need to. Promise?" You nodded.

He rocked you back and forth for a few minutes, before lifting your head up and wiping your tears with his thumbs. He kissed your cheek, then stood up and made his way to the bathroom. You heard the bath start to run and soon smelt your favorite body wash start to come into the room.

Ben came in and took your hands, leading you into the bathroom. He didn't say anything, didn't do anything to make you feel like you were obligated to do something, he just simply helped you out of your clothes, then placed a kiss on your forehead, before easing you into the bath.

He left after bringing in some towels and promised he'd be back to check on you. This was probably the most relaxed you'd been in a while. As a matter of fact, it was so relaxing, that you couldn't keep your eyes open...

"[Y/N]," Ben's voice softly rang in your ears. "Baby, wake up." Your eyes fluttered open after a moment and you saw Ben sitting by the floor next to you with a smile on his face. "Hey, sleeping beauty," he softly greeted. "Nice nap?"

You giggled a bit and told him, "Yeah. Sorry, I'm just so tired." He got up on his knees and rested his elbows on the side of the tub. "You don't need to apologize. What had you home so early?" You sighed, "Technical problems. Won't be fixed by late tomorrow. You?" He shrugged and simply told you, "Got done early. I was actually getting ready to go pick up the kids when you came home."

You looked at Ben and I mean, you looked at him after, what seems like, months of being a part. This is the first moment you've had together in a while. "I miss you," you told him in a whisper. He looked at you sadly and cooned, "Oh, sweetheart I miss you, too. You have this weekend off, yes?" You nodded. He took your hand out of the water and kissed each of your fingers. "I'm going to take you out this weekend. Just you and me. I'll get a room at a hotel and we'll spend each day in one another's arms. Sound okay to you?"

You smiled and told him, "Sounds perfect. I love you." He leaned over and kissed you soundly on the lips. "I love you, too."
