bakugo had a surprisingly good time. todoroki was borderline nice to be around. he wasn't apeshit crazy like the usual group bakugo hung around with. and, once he got more comfortable, todoroki wasn't weirdly and awkwardly quiet. it was kind of nice talking to him
bakugo was surprised with how grateful todoroki was to bakugo. he thanked bakugo multiple times for inviting him out, and treated bakugo to an extravagant amount of movie theater snacks.
todoroki was funny, too! that was most surprising to bakugo. throughout the whole movie, todoroki had quietly offered and comments, making bakugo have to hold back his laughter the whole movie.
bakugo recounted his time with todoroki to ikeda during a weekend session with her.
"you've taken a quick liking to todoroki, bakugo." ikeda commented, looking infuriatingly amused.
"shut the hell up!" bakugo yelled, balling his hands up into fists. "i don't give a shit about fuckface icyhot!"
ikeda gave bakugo a look, not even having to tell bakugo how distructive his attitude was.
bakugo took a few deep breaths, relaxed his hands, and sighed in lessened frustration. "okay, maybe i do give a shit about fuckin' icyhot. but, it isn't sudden, okay? i've always been... kinda curious about him. and now, knowing what i know about him, i just... i just feel like he needs friend, alright?! happy?!"
"are you?" ikeda asked, turning bakugo's rhetorical question back into him.
bakugo was happy.
