his shoes gave him away, just like the first time. only fuckin' todoroki would wear motherfuckin' dress shoes to school. or at all, really. stupid ass shoes.
stupid ass todoroki. making bakugo all soft and shit. it really isn't like bakugo doesn't care about people at all. he does wanna be a hero after all. but, bakugo had never been the type to be so forward about it. the extent of bakugo's care was a screaming lecture, or a home cooked meal left at someone's door, or (very) reluctantly helping with homework.
katsuki bakugo has never been the type to follow someone into a bathroom to check on them.
honestly, what about todoroki made bakugo want to step in?
"so, you're throwin' up again, huh?" bakugo asked todoroki as he stepped out of a stall.
"..." todoroki didn't respond. he didn't even look at bakugo. his eyes looked dead.
the class had been real disappointed with todoroki reverting back to his anti-social self. all of them failed to see how unstable todoroki was getting. instead, they just all whispered and made theories about his personality shifts. if really pissed bakugo off. if they were all going to be dicks about todoroki, they should do it silently.
"do you wanna hang out or somethin'?"
the words had just sort of fallen out of bakugo's mouth. he hadn't meant to say it. bakugo didn't even have anything he'd want to do. he hated going out and doing shit with people. why the fuck had bakugo asked that?! he'll just take back the question. there's no way katsuki freaking bakugo was going to force himself to hang out with todoroki, no matter what weird concern he had for him.
todoroki's eyes flickered up to meet bakugo's. there were subtle bags under his eyes. bakugo realized that todoroki had always had suck heavy bags under his eyes. bakugo watched todoroki's chapped lips press into a thin line, his mismatched eyebrows drew together, and he tilted his head slightly. a look of perfect confusion had taken over todoroki's face. bakugo was struck with the realization that todoroki looked cute with that look. he looked cute with such an open expression. bakugo's heart skipped a beat.
wait wait wait.
what the fuck?
you read that wrong, okay? bakugo doesn't think motherfuckin' shoto todoroki, his rival, an obstacle to being the best #1 hero, a nuisance on bakugo's life, is goddamned cute, okay?! bakugo has no feelings of any sort besides hate for todoroki. and there was no fucking way bakugo was ever going to willingly spend any time with todoroki.
"you want to hang out? with me?" todoroki asked with that stupid cute expression.
no, not a cute expression.
say no, bakugo. just day nevermind. he's going to have an awful time if he hangs out with anyone, let alone icyhot.
"yeah, that's why i asked, dumbass."
why?
why?!
why did bakugo say that?
"i wouldn't, um, i wouldn't mind that."
oh.
todoroki was smiling now. he had turned away from bakugo, and it was a small smile. it was barely even there. but, todoroki was smiling. bakugo felt absolutely stricken. his heart began to race. he couldn't tear his eyes away from todoroki.
what was happening to bakugo? what was this feeling?
racing heart. unexplainable concern and curiosity. bakugo was certain his face was flushed.
oh.
oh!
OH!
bakugo was interested in todoroki. like, he wanted to date the bastard!
well shit!
