Chapter 7: Distant Lovers

Zander POV:

3 Days.

3 Days since me and Luke talked.

3 Days since me and Luke had that incident.

3 Days since my boyfriend and I saw each other.

3 Days. I haven't ever been away from Luke for that long.

"Z! Time for school!" Hailey called.

"Coming..."

We walked outside and started walking to RosyHigh, our highschool.

Me and Hailey we're pretty much quiet the whole time, since Luke wasn't here.

"Where's Luke?" Hailey asked breaking the long silence from before.

"Crap, I didn't tell her. I got to come up with an excuse!" I panicked.

"Er- he's sick..." I quickly said trying to not reveal why he really wasn't here.

"Oh, ok. I'll text him later to tell him I hope he feels better."Hailey said, not noticing I was lying.

"Phew~"

(1: 30 P.M)

I ran to the music room to get there to have some peace and quiet to complete some homework.

I walked in and flipped on the lights. When I was walking to the bare table where Sean's labtop would usually be, my eyes locked onto my piano.

I got up and walked over to my small but beautiful keyboard and started playing one of Luke's favorite songs: Seasons.

*Flashback* (BTW, §= Music)

"Hey there Zander!" A tiny brunette -haired boy greeted me.

"Oh, hey Luke, wanna join me up here?" I said gazing into his golden eyes, pointing at the scarlett colored tree I was up in.

"Umm... is it safe?" The tall boy asked, tone of worry in his voice.

"Of course, you trust me right?" I said giving him a solemn look.

"Yeah, but..." Luke said insecure about this idea.

"Listen, if you fall, I'll catch you. No matter what, I'll catch you." I said, sounding tough and motivating. "Now, get up here."

Luke smiled and slowly climbed up the tree.

"Oh! That reminds me..." Luke said digging for something in his satchel.

"What are you looking for?" I asked him.

"This!" Luke said proudly holding his hand out like he caught a Pokémon.

In his hand was a tiny little screen, kinda like a smartwatch without a strap.

"It's called a GachaPod." Luke explained while tapping the screen.

I looked over his shoulder to see him hopping onto GachaTube Music.

"Now I can show you my favorite song without having to search it up on the computer or on my parents phones!" Luke exclaimed.

§ "The seasons come and go like thoughts of you~" §

I closed my eyes and leaned back. Usually, I like listening to classical music, but this song always calmed me way more than classical music does.

I never really knew why, but I think it's because he chose it.

*End of flashback*

I sighed, ending the song with a little plink of an F-sharp.

I sighed, and tears started falling.

"I'm surprised you remember that stupid song." A familiar voice chuckled.

I turned to see a ginger-haired boy in all black clothing.

He looked just like Luke, but...
Darker.
