June 11th

The small Soho apartment was now empty. Every last box was in a van on the way to Chris and Scarlett's house. Gabie was excited, she and Scar always wanted to be roomies... It will only last for about 2 weeks but they still think it's pretty cool. Looking around at the empty space was weird. The last time that her apartment was this empty was when she moved in, her father was still there with her. Everything was different now.

"Whoo! I think we're good to go. I'm so fucking exhausted" Scarlett said, out of breath after carrying dozens of heavy boxes from the apartment to the van. Gabie nodded while fixing her high ponytail. She was equally out of breath. Thank the universe there was only one flight of stairs between the streets and Gabie's place.

After finding the perfect party outfits in Scar's closet last night, the two besties went back to Soho to sleep in Gab's apartment one last time. The movers were scheduled for 8am this morning anyways so the fact that they were already there made things smoother for them.

Gabie dropped her set of keys into a little mail box on the first floor like her landlord instructed her to and they headed outside. They hopped into Scarlett's black Audi SQ8 and she drove them home silently, both too tired to talk.

Later that afternoon, they had been back home for a few hours already and Gabie was pretty much settled in. She was glad she started moving her belongings into this house a few weeks ago. It made the process a little bit easier.

Most of her things stayed in boxes or luggages anyway since she was moving again in 2 weeks so settling in didn't take very long. She picked out a few pieces of clothing that she would wear most often along with the gorgeous green satin short dress that she was going to wear the following night at the party and hung them in the closet just so that she wouldn't need to open her luggage everyday. She then joined her best friend in the kitchen.

"Bitch it smells good in here!!! Need any help? " Gabie said, famished after her long day.

Scarlett smiled and threw a cucumber at her. Gabie knew the place pretty well since they often had her over. She pulled out a knife from the drawer and a cutting board from the cabinet and started cutting the cucumber into little cubes for the salad.

"Are you all settled in? Do you need anything? There's hair products and body wash in the shower and towels in the cabinet. Extra blankets and pillows in the back of the closet. What else..." Scarlett paused to think but she was interrupted by Gabie who had put the knife down and was now walking over to her.
