Helloooo! How are you guys going?
Welcome to chapter 6 of Opposites Attract. This chapter is very sweet let me know how you feel about it!
Thank you for being here. Xxxx

June 29th

A Little over two weeks have passed since Chris's insane birthday party. It took everybody, including Gabie a few days to recover properly, everybody was a hot mess afterwards but the party was a success. It was even the talk of the town for a few days. Everybody and their mamas wished they were invited. Some managed to sneak in the Fleur Room that night but no one really cared. The more the merrier! Right?

Gabie and Seb have not talked or seen each other since that party. Both too busy, for one and too afraid of rejection for another, mixed with a little bit (or a lot) of denial and confusion. It doesn't mean that they didn't think of each other though... They both did. Compulsively.

But seriously, what the hell was in the air that night?

They both felt a strange and unusual connection with each other. A new feeling, above and beyond simple physical attraction even though they knew nothing about one another. The kind of feeling that you hear people talk about in movies, the kind of connection that one waits a lifetime to find. To these two very independent individuals, that was scary as fuck, so they blamed it on all the drugs and alcohol. Mature...

Seb asked Chris about Gabie once or twice on the days following the event, but every time, Chris would tease him saying he's got it bad for the girl so, Seb would brush it off and he eventually stopped talking about her. Pretending he doesn't care anymore about her than any other girl he's ever talked to or had an eye on.

Gabie was still staying at her best friend's house. Over the past few weeks, She had been searching the web for apartments non stop.

She was in bed with her laptop sitting on her laps, looking at neighbourhoods and apartments for sale in the Los Angeles area at the last minute, per usual.

She leaves in two days and she hasn't settled on a place yet because she wants to visit them before buying one. Understandable but still... Late. It's a pretty big deal and a stressful process for her since she is going to use all of the 50,000$ she inherited to buy this apartment so she doesn't want to mess up.

In other news, she has also gotten herself an interview at an elementary school in Santa Monica and she's really hoping that it will work out because the school and the neighbourhood seems lovely. Her top picks of apartments also happen to be in Santa Monica, near the beach like she always dreamed of.

Gabriella decided she'll be staying at a hotel for her first few days in L.A, maybe the first few weeks until she found the perfect place to live in. She could feel butterflies in her stomach just thinking about the life that is waiting for her in sunny California. A fresh start, a new chapter, a whole new book for that matter.
