June 30th
Last full day in New York City before moving away.
Gabie woke up at around 8am this morning feeling very anxious. But in an enthusiastic way. She was just so ready to leave, ready to leave New York, ready to leave her family, ready to leave all of her troubles behind.
She still had a few things to do in NYC before July 1st, that's why she got up early to make sure she had enough time. Gabie had to go over to Benedict's office, her lawyer, to settle some last minute details with him about the case and she also wanted to go have a little stroll in the city one last time with her bestie. That was their thing, they'd often just go grab coffee and walk around for a bit. It's not like if it was the last time that she would be in New York for the rest of her life, she would eventually be back but not before a while and she was pretty convinced she would never live there again.
After a few minutes of staring blankly at the ceiling, spaced out, lost in her own thoughts, she got up to start her day. The first thing on her to do list was to check over her flight and hotel reservation online. It's always a good idea to make sure there's no last minute cancellation or delay or anything of that sort.
She stopped abruptly in the middle of the room. "Shit." She said to herself out loud, remembering just now that Seb and Scar broke her computer last night. She really didn't make a big deal out of it yesterday and in the heat of the moment she honestly didn't care. But now that Seb wasn't here giving her unintentional puppy eyes, she suddenly cared a little more.
Though she had the a 50,000$ heritage sitting in her bank account, moving to a different state was going to cost her a lot of money, especially since she wanted to buy an apartment instead of renting. The money was going to be used on the apartment and nothing else.
She didn't really plan on buying a new laptop but she had no choice, especially as a teacher she would need a laptop. She would also need a car, something she was never used to have in NYC. So many new things. So much money. Ugh, she couldn't wait to start working.
Anyways, she wrapped her mind around the fact that her laptop was in a better place and she would eventually try to get it fixed or sell it for pieces. She left her room and went out to look for Scarlett who was already awake in the living room.
"Morning!" Gabie said as she walk towards the couch and sat next to her friend.
"You're up early!" Scar said as she embraced her friend into her arms.
