After that shocking revelation, Chloe called a Uber and left, leaving two shocked angels in her wake. They sat side by side on the bed with mirroring expressions.
"We.. are.. so screwed." Irisia said. "I was thinking more like fucked." Ryliel said. He didn't usually use the F word, yet he had used it twice that night. They really were fucked. And not in a fun way.
"You know what this means, right?" Ryliel asked. "Yes, this means that we cannot break them up, and we sure as hell can't kill her." Irisia confirmed. Even if it were physically possible now, Irisia couldn't possibly kill an innocent child. Much less her own blood. She could be a bitch, but even she wasn't that cold blooded.
"Maybe Marliel can't kill her either now." Ryliel suggested, hopeful. Irisia shook her head. "No. She can still cut Chloe open long enough to take her heart out, and that ought to do the job. And I doubt she has any qualms against murdering her own niece or nephew."
Ryliel ran a hand across his face. "Dad, this is like a poorly written soap opera."
"Or fanfiction." Irisia suggested. Ryliel gave her an odd look. "What does fanfiction have to do with anything?" Ryliel asked.
Irisia shrugged. "I don't know. Thought just popped into my head."
Ryliel sighed. "You know what we have to do, right?" Irisia closed her eyes in defeat. There was nothing else they could do. Not now. "We need to tell everyone about the situation. There's no other option." Ryliel said firmly. Irisia nodded. "I know."

Chloe was back in her apartment, pacing her bedroom. She couldn't believe this! Even as she gripped the three positive tests in her hand. When Chloe saw the results, she felt beyond shocked, worried, scared... but maybe the tiniest bit happy?
Before the divorce, her and Dan had planned on having siblings for Trixie at some point. But since the marriage didn't pan out, Chloe assumed that she would never have any more children. It's not that she didn't want any, it's just that she was a single, almost forty year old, cop, who already had enough on her plate. Not to mention the kid's father being the ACTUAL devil! An angel. This kid was half angel. Those were thoughts Chloe never thought she'd think.
Was the baby even alright after the stabbing? Chloe would need to schedule an appointment with a doctor to make sure. But she had a feeling that if she healed this fast and well, than the kid should be fine. There was also that. As far as Chloe knew, Linda had never gone through anything even remotely like this during her pregnancy.
What was this child doing to her? Chloe was a ball of nerves. How could this be happening? And how the hell was she going to tell Lucifer?
Chloe walked up to the her mirror. "Hey, Lucifer, I'm pregnant!" She practiced, and cringed. It's been a while since her acting days, and she was a bit out of shape. "Lucifer, I'm carrying your child." She tried, but hated that more. "I'm knocked up with the Antichrist!" There was a sentence she never thought she'd say. It was even weirder then the time she told Lucifer to not touch the charred crotch.
Then a whole new fear became realized. Was she actually carrying the Antichrist? Since becoming a celestial insider, she had learned that much of what's believed as fact in religion is wrong and horribly misinterpreted. So maybe this was one of those things. She certainly hoped it was.
Chloe tried to even her erratic breathing and wrung her hands. She then remembered her bloody clothes. She decided to change into a tee shirt and sweatpants. When she was changing her shirt, she looked down towards her stomach. It appeared flat, not yet visible. But he or she was still in there. The tests had confirmed her suspicions.
