Lucifer untangled himself from Amenadiel's arms and flew full-force at Marliel. She barely dodged his dive, and she wielded her dagger in front of her. Lucifer landed on the ground, spread his angel wings wide and his skin burned hotter than it ever has before.

His emotions were so strong and rampant that he couldn't even think of anything coherent to say.

His hands began to burn a bright white light like before with the gates. Marliel frowned in confusion and stepped backwards. Now she finally felt a true tinge of fear.

Lucifer's clawed hands only grew hotter, and then he had a wicked idea. If whatever he was doing could obliterate the gates, then just imagine what it could do to an angel.

He raised his hands as if he planned to throw something, when the fire suddenly extinguished. Lucifer frowned in confusion and Marliel let out a relived sigh.

"Children," A new voice said. A voice that no one had heard in a long, long time. Everyone slowly turned their heads to the source of the voice to find an older man standing near the non-existent chasm, Chloe standing beside him, and their brother Gabriel on his other side. "You know I hate it when you fight."

Everyone who had previously been in the air landed and gaped at the almighty.

But Lucifer was more distracted by Chloe's presence then his father's. Lucifer ran towards her and embraced her in his arms. He covered them both with his wings as to allow them both privacy. Lucifer's devil face dissolved when she placed her face to the crook of his neck and wrapped her own arms around him.

Outside of the lover's cocoon, everyone was still gaping at the almighty. Remiel recovered first and fell to her knees in a bow. Azrael, Michael, Ryliel, Gabriel, and Dan (in his panicked state with no idea of what else to do), followed suit. Marliel hesitated, but she then bowed as well.

Amenadiel's first instinct was to bow as well, but he couldn't find it within himself to, for reasons even he didn't quite understand.

Ella and Dan shared a glance, completely out of their depth. Dan shrugged with a 'I don't know what the fuck I'm supposed to do' expression. Ella bowed as well, not knowing what else to do. "Is that... is that God?" Ella whispered to Ryliel in awe. "Yes." He breathed, obviously awed himself.

Ella's eyes bulged so much that they were dangerously close to popping out of her skull. "But, why does he look like the guy from those Allstate commercials?"

Ryliel glanced at her, obviously confused. "What?" He whispered.

As an explanation, Ella cupped her hands to look like the Allstate logo, and said in a deep imitating voice. "Are you in good hands?"

Ryliel just looked at her blankly as if she was suddenly speaking in tongues. "He's God, I certainly hope that we are in good hands." Ryliel said, misunderstanding her.

"That's not what I..." Ella trailed off, then shook her head. "Ya know what, it's not important right now."

God took a step forward and wore a stern expression. "Everyone, stand." He commanded. Everyone instantly obeyed. God may not be in his true form, but power still emanated from him like a beacon.

Upon hearing his father's voice, Lucifer untangled himself from the embrace and gently pushed Chloe behind him, away from God, with a wing. Too many emotions to count displayed themselves across Lucifer's face like a slide show. He was utterly speechless, which was truly a rare thing.

"Dad?" Lucifer's voice practically choked with emotion. After so many, many, many years of silence, his father was standing right in front of him. After so many years of pain and turmoil between them, here he was. And Lucifer had no idea of how to react.
